A wonderful apartment, well furnished, maintained and spotlessly clean. Good pool facilities and amenities on site. You do need a car but it is only a short distance to local beaches and major towns. Murcia airport is only 15 minutes away so this property is very good for weekend breaks. The owners information pack was excellent, good recommendations for restaurants and attractions. The local Indian restaurant was fabulous and only a very short drive.

Owner's Response: For future renters, if you don't want to drive in the evenings, you could use the on-resort taxi service to take you to local restaurants. Or even more convenient, you can take a 5 - 10 min walk to the restaurants that are on-site, ie the Italian (pizza, pasta, meats and fish), arroceria (paella, fish and meats), the Bamboo Chill Out Bar-Restaurant (cuisines from around the world), the tapas bar, the buffet restaurant, most of which are lakeside with terraces and stunning views.

We had a fantastic family holiday in this beautiful, clean and spacious apartment, lovely location and setting with wonderful views over the large pool. No need to rush down to the pool in the morning as Debbie had provided us with our own sun beds :-) lovely restaurants close by-our favourite was the Italian. Would definitely return & recommend it.

Perfect Ten Days

We have had a fantastic ten days here,and the weather was superb! We flew in to Murcia Airport and picked up the hire car and drove straight to the La Torre Golf Resort which took about 15-20 mins and then parked in the underground car park in the allocated space beneath the apartment block. Apartment was immaculate and very modern...5 Star Luxury! We had some lovely lazy days by the pool which is a stones throw away,but also the beaches are a must...especially Los Alcazares and Santiago de la Ribera.They take about 15 mins to reach by car and are especially favoured by the Spanish people on vacation,which to me was a good sign. Two beachfront restaurants that are a must for lunch are Terra Mare at Los Alcazares...where the Paella was excellent and the Sangria by the glass is a must,and Lonja Mar Menor at Santiago de la Ribera (a beachfront fish restaurant by the waters edge). The Mar Menor was lovely to swim in...but most people are in the sea to socialise (Spanish especially),and with the water being so shallow your feet are still touching the floor a fair way out...it looked a bit like a scene from the film Titanic at busy times! A restaurant for the evening and something a little bit special would have to be Rosalinds at Los Alcazarez which has a rooftop location at the Plaza Square and English owned,very hospitable with service and food of a very high standard.
The Italian and the Bamboo bar onsite at La Torre do great food...but i would advise to book as they get very busy. The Clover Irish Bar has a great atmosphere with a karoke night on a friday...and all in all we have had a really lovely holiday and would definatley come back again :)

June Summer Holiday 2011

After a stressful four weeks starting new jobs and moving house, my husband and I need a place to completely relax and enjoy some well deserved chill out time. The apartment did this and more. It was spotless and well equipped with everything we needed.
The balcony looked out over the pool and was a great spot for breakfast and an evening bottle of wine. The rooms are spacious and the sofa, cosy. The homely touches made it feel more like staying at a friend's house that a rental apartment.
All of the information and booking was well handled and easy to manage. The owners also recommended a transfer company that were reliable and collected us from Alicante.
We had great weather and enjoyed cycling, walking and swimming on site and to nearby beaches. A car is useful to explore further afield and see more of the local area. Next time we would hire a car I think. The pool is large and good for swimming and well as a brief dip to cool down from the sun. It also has a baby pool for those just starting to swim!
The supermarket on site was convenient and the restaurant (Italian Trattoria) was busy. We are not golfers but the course looked lovely, we often went for an evening stroll around the golf cart path to see the sun set and listen to the birds and frogs settling down for the night. We also visited the spa in the nearby 4 Star Hotel and had a massage and swim as well as a few hours lounging around in a robe and slippers.
I would recommed the apartment to families and couples.The resort is more relaxing than heaving with nightlife but it was just what the doctor ordered for us.
We shall be back.

Perfect for a quiet holiday break in the sun

I have just returned frm a week stay at La Torre and had a wonderful break. The apartment is lovely, all mod cons, spotlessly clean and well furnished. It has a large balcony that can easily fit 4 people around the table with a great view of the swimming pool and in the distance, views of the mountains.
The resort was very quiet indeed. Perfect for me as it was a blissful rest, however if you want nightlife, you might have to hire a car to find it beyond the golf course, or possibly we went at the wrong time of year (beginning of September)
There is a well furnished supermarket only 10 mins walk from the apartment and the staff at the Intercontinental Hotel, based on the resort, were very helpful in booking taxis to the airport which is only 20 mins drive away. Hugely convenient.
If you hire a car, there are plenty of places to go. My friends went to the local marina and saw some flamingos!
Debbie, the owner, was great at sending details and information to us in plenty of time.
I would certainly recommend this apartment for those who want a relaxing, quite break. And I for sure will definately return.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments Dawn. The resort does tend to quieten down after the summer season when any entertainment or nightlife is mainly at the weekends. But during the summer there is plenty going on at La Torre - weekly events held this summer inlcuded a Champagne Party with guest DJs, a Latin party where you could learn to dance salsa, tango, etc. and a Ladies Night. There were also themed evenings in some of the restaurants ie Mexican Fiesta and wine tasting just to mention a few. There was also a night cinema for the children.
Even though La Torre has quietened down now there is still plenty going on in the region including numerous local fiestas.

We had a fantastic week in this fantastic appartrment, it is decorated to a very high standard & is very spaciaous & only a 5 min stroll to the club house, supermarket Etc

Holiday experience

We enjoyed a lovely holiday at this resort. The apartment was exactly what we had hoped for, and as described.
The pools were superb - my children spent hours swimming and playing games in them!
It did get very hot around the pool, as there is limited shade from the trees, but I later found a parasol in the apartment which provided some relief - an additional parasol may be helpful for a larger family.
The apartment was also located on a prime site, with views of the pools and part of the golf course.
There is a well stocked supermarket on site, but there are further supermarkets in the two villages near the complex, offering a wider choice of local produce.
The beaches of the Mar Menor and Med coast are close by (20 minutes) and offer clean and safe beaches and calm waters. The lagoon is great for young children as the water is relatively shallow and very warm!
All in all, our holiday experience was a very happy one!

Clean and quiet

Top of our list of requirements for a holiday apartment are clean and quiet, this apartment has these in spades. Beautiful position with stunning views of the mountains, just a short stroll to restaurants, bars and a supermarket. The information pack provided by the owners covers local attractions, restaurants, bars, markets, etc. and there is a large collection of DVD's should you get fed up of sunbathing or swimming in the lovely pool. The apartment complex is secure, with manned gates at the entrance and the underground parking garage keeps the car nice and cool as well as being ultra convenient for taking your suitcases via the elevator to the apartment. The balconies are delightful, the apartment is light and spacious. The kitchen and bathroom are stocked with many extras i.e. suncreams and soap, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cereals, coffee, tea and sugar which add that special touch to your holiday. Would and have definitey recommend this apartment, thank you Debbie...

What a Holiday

Four of us rented the apartment from 5th August 2008 to 12th August 2008. The weather was fantastic. The pool facilities were excellent. But the best thing about the holiday was the luxurious nature of the apartment. It was better than described. It was spacious, fully kitted out with all the necessary facilities and very clean. The beds were very comfortable and the air con worked excellently, which was a blessing as it averaged 90 degrees everyday.
On arrival day, we were escorted to the apartment and shown round before being left explore the complex.
The complex had all you would need for a relaxing break. A fully stocked supermarket doing regional produce as well as some imported English items.
The onsite restaurants were excellent standard. Service was a little slow, but then the pace in Spain is alot slower anyway. We tried nearly all the restaurants and bars and we also had the treat of a late night concert by Kool and the Gang in the main square on one of the nights.
All in all this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we have all had in quite some time, and we will be going back in 2009.

The apartment is spacious and well equipped, with lovely view over pools and onto golf course. Its very well located to visit Murcia, Cartegena and the beaches. Easy to find from airport and has all the amenities you could hope for on site with supermarket and several bars and restaurants. Highly recommended. I would recommend Kidease for hire of childrens equipment - highchair, cot and toys very helpful and worthwhile.
