Excellent Plaka Apt

Review Submitted: November 11, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008
Our experience at this Plaka flat was excellent! The location is in the center of all the activity in Athens just as described. We really felt immersed into the city. The apartment was very comfortable, but the shower was narrow. The owners were very accomadating and pleasant to work with.
Owner's Response: Thank you very much for you review. It is a real pleasure knowing that our guests have truly enjoyed their stay at our Plaka aparment.
Paris.

Perfectly situated for those who want to explore Plaka, Kolonaki, Monistirak, and all the major archeological sites, this small but lovely apartment was the perfect base for our second trip to Athens. The bed and furniture were comfy, the kitchen great for early-morning and late-night snacks, and the clothes washer was our new best friend. The owner, Paris, was mellow, helpful, and charming. We'll definitely stay there again.

The Best Location!

Great vaction Portland OR

Great location!!! It was small but fine for the two of us. It was nice and clean, but the bathroom had a bit of a mildew smell. The mattress was not very comfortable. It needed a new mattress or at least a thick foam pad with a padded mattress cover. Over all very clean bedding, comfortable couch, small tv.

Located right on the lovely marble plaza behind Athens Cathedral, church bells chime you awake and send you to sleep in this spotlessly clean, well-appointed (a washer!), prettily decorated, and perfectly maintained apt seconds away from Plaka, metro stops, attractions, and more.

No view, but good air through the central courtyard. Rooms were small, but typical of any big city apartment (I have friends in Manhattan who'd kill for that much room!), and the separate living room (with foldout couch) made it feel like a real home. The kitchen is bare minimum (but with fine restaurants and a Starbucks just steps away on the plaza, who cares?).

We felt like locals and lived like kings on the money we saved avoiding overpriced hotels. Will most definitely rent this apartment again when we next come to Athens and recommend it to all our friends visiting the city.

Athens old town Plaka flat

Don't expect a view from the windows, but the location is superb, within easy reach of facilities and attractions, including Metro from airport. Set back from road, so quiet for a city centre. Air con in bedroom and Internet access worked well (September 2008). Comfortable bed and sofa. Nearest restaurant does excellent value takeaway.
