My husband and I brought our two adult children and their spouses to Barcelona and rented this extraordinary 3-bedroom apartment for 9 days! The location is not to be believed. We could walk to almost everything, and what we couldn't walk to, we could quickly reach by instantly getting a cab or a metro or a suburban train either steps or a couple of blocks away! We were able to take the train from Passeo De Gracia train station to Figueres, Girona, and Sitges for day trips. We could walk to Las Ramblas and even the sea. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. It is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, well-appointed and wellstocked, with two eating areas, a fabulous, comfortable livingroom with a TV and comfy couches and lots of helpful information from the owners. We cooked and ate out; we washed clothes; we were able to use our wireless capability, which was very help in connecting with people in Spain and making plans.
The two "guest" bedrooms were fairly equal in size--the couples "drew straws"--one bedroom was smaller without closets but next to the bathroom--the other had its own storage and was larger. But there were drawers in the livingroom and we used the large utility closet to hang their clothes--and it was fine. The master bedroom was perfect with great closet space and well-appointed bathroom. Our only complaint was that since our bedroom faced the street, at times we were awakened at 2:00 or 4:00 in the morning by drunken, talking and singing night-time socializers on a bench outside our window. But all of that is a worthwhile trade-off for the views, sunlight and location. All part of the local color. One of us has a mild walking disability, but managed the few stairs in front and the elevator to the second floor was helpful--most of us walked the short flight. The master bathroom is not perfect for some one with a disability but manageable--it does require one short step, but the owners have thoughtfully placed a helpful grip bar.
We would definitely recommend and rent this amazing apartment again!
