best part of our vacation

was this villa. First time in Nice, (first time in France!) yet we did not rush out of door to see the sightscenes. The villa was so beautiful and so relaxing, that we just stayed in till afternoon everyday and enjoyed the villa as much as possible. Mr. and Mrs. Pax were so helpful and reliable as well. No matter how many times we go back to Nice, we would want to stay there again and again. Thank you, Villa Dracoena.

A perfect holiday

London Traveller London, United Kingdom

A few friends and I had a perfect week at this comfortable and well situated villa. We rented a car for the week and were able to park easily nearby. The pool was sunny all afternoon and we found ourselves living outdoors, especially when we used the barbecue. The caretaker, who speaks good English, and his wife were charming and kept the villa spotlessly clean. Our favourite spot was the dining terrace, which has a stunning panoramic view of Nice and the sea. I highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again.

Wonderful Villa on Mont Boron

We just loved this villa. We were so excited when we arrived to see that the villa was exactly what we saw in the pictures. The marble staircase was stunning. The pool area was inviting with comfortable chaises and nearby barbeque grill. The kitchen was large and connected to a wonderful patio overlooking the Bais des Anges. This was our favorite place at the villa. The villa is in the perfect location, the bus towards Nice or Monaco can be picked up from less than a block away. We will definitly stay here the next time we are in the south of France and highly recommend it to anyone!

Villa Dracoena, Mont Boron

Madame Gauchere Mount Gretna
Review Submitted: January 19, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2008
My husband and I have returned to this villa for five consecutive years. The villa is lovely and the owners continue to make improvements. The housekeeper and gardener are very welcoming and go out of their way to make you insure you a pleasant stay. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two WC. The kitchen is very modern and has all the conveniences. There is a beautiful large heated pool, lounge chairs and a fantastic garden, which is exceptionally well-cared for. Seated on the balcony one can watch the pleasure boats, cruise ships and ferries and simply soak in the view, My husband and I love to walk and our daily promenade in the morning is down around the port to the open air market in the old town.We are eager to return.

Our Summer delights

Review Submitted: January 16, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2008
My family and I have spent three very happy and delightful summer holidays at Villa Dracoena and look forward to many more. Staying at the villa is a delight. The villa itself is beautiful and the large gardens are superb, Both the villa and the gardens are blessed with magnificant views and I truly mean magnificant views.

As stated above we love the villa and the gardens but for us, what makes staying at Villa Dracoena really special are the people involved with it. The owner of the property really cares that your stay at the villa is an enjoyable one, and the caretakers who look after the Villa to the very hightest of standards, are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

My family and I look forward to our next stay at Villa Dracoena. It is always a delight.

Wonderful Villa, Wonderful Stay

JJorg Stockholm, Sweden
Review Submitted: January 13, 2009 Date of Stay: January 2009
We rented the Villa Dracoena for a total of two months during January and Februray, and wished we could have stayed for ever. The Villa is excellent and the views are even better. We especially enjoyed the wonderful garden, with orange trees providing daily treats, the barbecue and the pool which was possible to heat even though it was in the middle of the winter (well, it could have been hotter for my taste, but our children truly enjoyed it).

The terrace was a favourite spot for watching the sun set over the distant mountain range stretching out into the sea a bit beyond Antibes. Preferrably with some excellent French wine in the glasses. Such feelings linger.

For Scandinavian people, such as we, temperatures were great, and even though it was the middle of the winter, you could really enjoy the sun and the climate.

The location is excellent if you want to go east. Idyllic Villefranche is within walking distance, approximately 30 minutes, with it's sun drenched beach in perfect southerly location and with high mountains creating a micro climate similar to North European summers (not to mention the restaurants). And the superb views and scenery of Mont Boron is next doors, which also is a great excercise area for both walking and running. Public transportation and car access was good, even though a designated parking spot was not provided (a side street provide ample parking space, though).

Public buses stop very close by - for convenient access to Nice - and we enjoyed our daily strolls to the Supermarket wich is very close by.

Mont Boron is clearly some distance from the bustling down-town area, but even though walking might not be an option to most, a bus or a short taxi ride will take you to everything within minutes.

The area felt very safe and friendly, as you would expect from a affluent high class residential area. For a family with small children it alsofelt good to have a high wall with locked gates around the property.

The house was clean and well maintained and the customer service proved excellent. I would clearly like to recommed this property to anybody.
