Once you get off from the Metro, you will see the statue of Colon. Cross Ramblas, go parallel to the sea, take Carrer Ample for 10 min and you will find Carrer D’en Serra. Look for number 8.

As the cab dropped us off at the end of a dingy alley, I started to worry. Worry turned to panic as we walked past grafitti covered walls and metal gates. We then got into a lift which opened directly into the apartment - and it was like we'd popped into the Tardis and landed somewhere else! Very comfortable, clean, luxurious - brilliant showers! Never did work out how to use the plugs in the sinks though.

Only drawback, no English speaking channels on the telly. I'd learn Spanish if they learned to speak at a reasonable speed!

I and 5 other girl friends stayed here for a long weekend. The apartment is beautifully furnished and very clean. The location is excellent - just 5 or so minutes walk from the main streets for shopping and eating but surprisingly quiet. The only noise we heard was from the people staying above who came and went early and late but then they might have said the same about us! The lift takes you from the ground floor straight into your apartment (via a key for security) which is really handy but some noise does come from the other apartments via the lift shaft especially when they are in it! The apartment has everything you could need, except possibly a kettle and some hooks for coats and bags. Also there was no sign of the promised shampoo and soap but we had 2 towels each which were lovely & soft. The safe wasn't working due to previous epole forgetting to reset the number but other than that everything was perfect. The owners agents were polite and helpful. There are numerous good restaurants nearby and we would thoroughtly recommend taking the open top bus tour and visiting La Sagrada Familia (breath-taking) and the Picasso Museum (which is free to get in on the first Sunday of each month, otherwise 13 Euros). The apartment is excellent value-for-money.
