BEST compound on MV!!! Where to begin...everything was perfect during our mini-family reunion on the lovely island of Martha's Vineyard. We usually vacation on Nantucket however we were getting tired of the loung haul and decided to give MV a try. My sister's and I wanted to find a home that would accomodate the 3 of us and all of our kids, one that was centrally located (all attractions were a quick 15 minute drive), had a saline pool and much privacy - Karen and Paul's fit the bill and went way beyond our highest expectations. The home was beautifully decorated - we joked that we were living within the pages of a Pottery Barn magazine! Both houses were appointed with luxury linens, both had fully stocked gourmet kitchens, two hot tubs!, there were kayaks, board & yard games, pool toys...they have thought of EVERYTHING. Dean and I are excited to make this our new family vacation spot. Karen, Paul and Bequia...thank you so much for an amazing time at your home! We just booked our return for 2012!

Magical Christmas at Edgartown Reunion

Our nuclear family of five, joined after several days by a friend and his young son, spent one of the best vacations ever in the the lovely homes of Edgartown Reunion. All aspects of the houses were perfect: somewhat removed from Edgartown and Vineyard Haven themselves so one felt almost in the country, yet perfectly located to explore all corners of the island with its beautiful seascapes, dramatic cliffs, lighthouses, stunning sunsets, as well as the main towns.
We couldn't have asked for more welcoming, comfortable and well appointed homes Though the weather was mixed, we set out despite cold winds, took long soaks in the hot tub under snowy skies, cooked up huge meals on the top of the line stove, and greatly enjoyed the variety of books and games. Never turned on the TVs, though there were many of them. Lngering over gourmet meals and just sitting snugly under wraps and delving into heated discussions, easily filled our time. In fact, the week went past far too quickly. We all left enriched by unique memories, wishing that we could have stayed longer.
We had the pleasure of meeting our host for a brief chat though we almost felt as if we already knew him and his wife just on the basis of the spirit of their houses, choice of decor, attention to details, and the very helpful emails exchanged before our arrival.
Highest recommendation! A real treat though we greatly appreciated being on the island out of season when there were almost no tourists. Thank you so much Karen and Paul!

We designed and built our home as a gathering place for our grown family and their families. In today's lifestyle with our children scattered across the country it is here, on the Island, that we all gather as one big multigenerational family. It gives us a place and time to make memories for our grandchildren with all their cousins and for us to reconnect with our now grown children. As you wrote, we too enjoy cooking together, eating long and lazy dinners, board games and exploring this amazing Island we are blessed to call home. It is here we so easily find all the simple things in life and learn to be grateful for so much. We designed the houses to allow for using what we needed, when we needed it and then to rent what was left over to help support the property and it seems to work out well for us and for our many repeat guests. Because it is our home, we have gone the full distance to make it a real home and not just a rental. From artwork to appointing the kitchen and living areas we have exceeded the typical "rental mentality" and I think this is something everyone appreciates. We hope you and your family will find a time to return and perhaps we will still make it to your amazing home in Italy. Thank you again for taking such good care of our home and please know you are always welcome back anytime any season.

Our family vacation was wonderful. Karen and Paul's house was everything we were looking for a Vineyard getaway, a great location centrally located. The house was immaculate and had the right touch of sytle and comfortable family feel. The pool and hot tub are wonderful enhancements to this house. Karen and Paul are very attentive owners to rent a house from as well as offering their understanding of what makes a family vacation at the Vineyard so special. We hope to back next year...

Our family's stay at Oyster Watcha Meadow was unbelievable from start to finish. The owners thought of every single detail, that a visitor could possibly need during their stay. The attention to detail is exceptional. The home and grounds were meticulous. The owners were always a phone call away, and if there was anything we could think of that we might need that they hadn't hadn't the foresight to supply the home, we knew we could always get a hold of them. Besides truly loving our surroundings and feeling like we were in our home away from home, one of the big highlights was the binder full of brochures and information of the Island. Every sight seeing stop, nature walk, and fine dining experiences could be found right at our finger tips.

This property is in a lovely quiet location, but only a couple of miles or so from Edgartown's shops and restaurants. It was spotless when we visited and beautifully maintained. A fantastic kitchen, cosy and comfortable livingroom and a wonderful dining area, the house is filled with light. The owners Paul and Karen were super helpful and informative but not at all intrusive. They made sure we had all the information we needed before our visit and then called shortly after we arrived to answer any last minute questions we had about the property and the island. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends or family. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

What a great week!

Everything about our stay was absolutely fantastic. We've been coming to MV for years and this was by far the best home we've stayed in. The property was stunning, the home was pristine, comfortable, tasteful and very functional. We took full advantage of the well equipped kitchen, pool, hot-tub, kayaks, outdoor BBQ, etc... Paul and Karen were very accomodating and helpful, sincerely interested in our enjoyment. I highly recommend this property for a great MV experience.

Perfect spot

The guest house is perfect! My husband and I came for a long weekend with our respective parents, and while it was a little cozy for 6 adults, it was really comfortable. The house is really well furnished and equipped, it seems as though Karen and Paul have thought of everything. They chose to furnish the house in a way that one might furnish their own house, not a rental. The kitchen is terrific- we love to cook and we had everything we might have needed. The house was clean and clearly well maintained. We loved everything about it- especially the hot tub!

Hate to have to leave this little piece of heaven. Our vacation is always something we look forward too but now that we have found Oyster Watcha Meadow I have to say it was the best vacation we have ever had. You have thought of everything. We love to cook and it is obvious that you do too! The kitchen is fantastic and so well equipped. The pool and gardens were amazing. Loved the location and how beautiful the whole meadow is. Great Stay...thanks

If anyone wants a really nice rental this house is great. Also liked the location. Close to everything but in an area that is really beautiful and private. Never stayed in such a nice house! My wife loved it. My kids loved the pool and I liked the Island Golf Courses. Really great vacation... Thanks Paul...you did a great job on this property.
