Great location, excellent value, but owner tough to deal with
This place was a fantastic getaway experience for our group! The description of the property was accurate and I believe the value to be exceptional.
Only problem was with the owner. First of all, she did not take Paypal and wanted checks. This is not a big deal, however with the need to put a large amount of money up front it would have been nice to have the security of Paypal. This would have avoid the following situation: We purchased lift tickets through the owner for a discount. Unfortunately I forgot to send the money for shipping the tickets. She did send the tickets when I apologized for forgetting and I immediately send a check through my bank and sent her the confirmation information. This got lost in the mail so I sent another check via certified mail so it could be tracked. By this time we were two days away from departure and had still not received the directions/instructions for the condo. She flat out told me that if she didn't receive the check then she would cancel our reservation over a small shipping fee. Thankfully another member of our group was able to talk some sense into her, eventually she sent the instructions and the weekend then went off without a hitch. The security deposit came back in full, but not after having to ask for it twice.
I like to give people a pass in these situations so I hope this was a one time hiccup and that these problems will not happen again in the future. Hopefully you will enjoy the condo just as much as we did! There's no better place to stay.

Owner's Response: It is true that I do not accept paypal. I had a problem years ago and made the choice not to use them. I do accept personal checks and do not deposit the security deposit.
That being said, my account of the issue is very different than Andrew's. I offer all of my tenants discount lift tickets. To do this, I purchase a bulk number of tickets in November at a huge cost. I ask each tenant that we add a small fee to the total cost of the tickets for shipping and insurance. After several attempts by email, which Andrew ignored I was unable to collect the fee. In the end, I spoke with one of Andrew's friends and they apologized and promised to pay the fee.
