We had a wonderful time at this lovely flat!
The listing was accurate, the property very clean and well maintained, the owner is an outstanding host. We highly recommend this flat and we hope to visit it again. It has an exquisite garden with privacy, mature trees and the Thames. The flat is well designed, very clean and well kept. Wendy provides full info on use of appliances, local maps, suggestions and activities. Lots of extra touches, extra blankets, and a well stocked, very efficient kitchen with a nice sized freezer. We enjoyed walks along the river, and visiting Hampton Court Palace down the street. Restaurants and good pubs nearby, and just across the bridge are shops and restaurants, the train to Central London, and a Marks & Spencer Food Mart! Just in front of the flat is the bus to Kingston upon Thames, with its large shopping area (including a huge M&S), river walks and boats, and masses of history. The Museum gives a good historical overview, and All Saints Church, founded in 1120 AD, is a fine example of English church architecture over the years, as are the buildings surrounding the Church and marketplace. The historic market is fun, still selling fruit, vegetables and fresh fish, and the Market Hall houses the tourist information center. Down the street is the Rose Theatre, with a regular schedule of excellent productions. We could go on and on; there is so much to see and do in this beautiful corner of England. Yes, we plan to return to Rotary Court, and we highly recommend Wendy's property. Location? Michael Faraday's and Sir Christopher Wren's homes on one side and Cardinal Wolsey's on the other, with Henry VIII just down the street. The flat is extremely relaxing and comfortable, Wendy is a warm and friendly host, and that makes all the difference especially when you plan a trip on the internet from thousands of miles away.
Owner's Response: Thank -you so much for your brilliant review. It was a pleasure having you as guests. I really enjoyed our " chats by email about Hampton Court and the history of the area". You are right, there is so much to see in this area. Hampton Court Palace, with its beautiful gardens, the maze,
fabulous coffee shop/restaurant, flower show, music festival, and even ice skating at Christmas.
The river Thames has its own magic, with so much to see.
We look forward to your next visit, and we will make you welcome. We even take credit card payment now!
Kind regards, Wendy.
