Villa Mila is a fantastic apartment within a beautiful modern home owned by an English/Czech speaking family. Restored to an exceptionally high standard, with modern and stylish interiors, this apartment is a perfect base for those who wish to visit Prague or Karlstejn Castle, whilst also relaxing in the beautiful Czech countryside.
The accommodation comprises: Master bedroom, with terrace, large family bathroom, kitchen and diner, living room, child's room and large family room/games room with bed-settee. Free WiFi access also available. Private terrace with access to large, landscaped gardens. Bed linen and towels at no extra charge. Microwave Oven, hob, brand new furniture and appliances.
Situated in a picturesque village only 30 minutes from Prague (by train) and 2km from the world-renowned Karlstejn Castle, this is an excellent base for exploring local attractions or simply cycling, playing golf and walking in the countryside or visit the local vineyards.

Great apartment - Taste of town and country
We spent a very enjoyable week in this ground floor, modern apartment in June 2012. The owners - David and Liba (and Anita by email) could not have been more welcoming and helpful, responding promptly to emails, picking us up and dropping us off at the airport and getting in some basic provisions for when we arrived. It was really interesting to talk to people with stories to tell about real life in the Czech Republic.
The apartment itself was great - exceptionally clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed having access to the terrace and garden so we could enjoy the sunshine and relax. Generally the apartment is well equipped and spacious (though we were only two). If we could suggest any improvements - a bit more storage in the bedroom and bathroom would have been useful, but this is really only a minor point.
Zadni Treban itself - a quiet, local village - very handy for walks in the countryside and trips into Prague. The train station is only 10 minutes walk from the house and I am very envious of the Czech rail system - trains were regular (every half an hour), on time AND cheap! It couldn't have been easier to get into Prague and home again - only 35 minutes and the trains run well into the evening. We had intended to hire a car but managed perfectly well for a week with some enjoyable walks and public transport. A second week and we would have hired a car just so we could get a bit further afield. The walk to Karlstein was well worth it - with customary ham and cheese and bread picnic. Other local recommendations - the pub in the square in Revnice - great pub grub, great price and good service. On our last night we braved the Rattlesnake bar in the campsite in Zadni Treban - don't be put off by the name - a pivo (beer), lots of friendly (but not 'in your face') Czech locals and some rather loud renditions of folk songs (we think). We loved it.
All in all, a great stay. Highly recommended.

Great location - best of both worlds
A gem of a location. You get the benefit of staying in a Czech village (quiet, wooded, country walks, etc.) whilst being a short (and cheap!) train ride from the centre of Prague (no more than 30 mins) and very frequent. The station is ten minutes stroll away.
The hosts, David and Liba, are a wonderful couple (English and Czech) who really care about your holiday and have loads of great suggestions - we were there for 10 days and still left loads of things out. We expected to go into Prague every day but there are plenty of interesting things to do locally (we will never forget the walk to the breath taking Karlstein Castle and the picnic in the meadow behind it). Its worth packing swimming stuff too in the summer as we went swimming in the evening to cool off.
No need to describe Prague. Just amazing. If you don't know what there is to see, buy a Rough Guide - you simply won't run out of things to see. And if you've got kids the zoo is truly amazing!
We are a family of five and there is plenty of room in this downstairs flat with a great kitchen and comfortable beds. A garden is just outside with a view up to wooded hillsides. A really attractive location.
This is a great way to experience both Prague and the gorgeous countryside that surrounds the city. If you want a holiday that is as diverse as country walks and art galleries, river swimming and tram rides, top class shopping and picnics in empty meadows, then this is the place to stay.
Can't recommend it enough. You won't regret it. We would go back without hesitation.

We had a wonderful time! A real home-from-home.
We spent a wonderful family holiday at Zadni Treban in this beautiful apartment. Everything is brand-new and immaculate. The kitchen is very well-equipped with all new appliances. The main bedroom is lovely with a large comfy bed and doors which open directly onto the garden.
The location was perfect for us : we wanted to be near Prague but not in the city and this gave us the best of both worlds.
The local station is only a few minutes' walk, very easy to hop on one of the frequent trains to Prague. We made several day trips to see the sights - we'd really recommend the river boat cruise and the Belle Vue restaurant, looking directly over the Charles Bridge.
We were also able to make evening trips to the city - for dinner and the theatre - and had no problem getting the train back. The service is very good and drops you right in the city centre.
We enjoyed the beautiful countryside and the river and had some lovely day trips out to local villages. Found some great country restaurants - we had a very good lunch just next to Karlstein Castle. It's an awe-inspiring gothic fortress set in rolling hills - a 'must-see'!
We bought good fresh fruit and vegetables in the local shops and had relaxing picnics by the river - great for paddling or a swim. We even saw a little travelling country circus in a real canvas big-top!
Best of all, we loved sitting in the peaceful garden in the evenings, watching the stars.
David and Liba - thank you! You gave us such a warm welcome and we had a lovely holiday. There's so much to see in the area - we'll have to come back!

Très belle location dans un très joli cadre
Nous avons passé une semaine extraordinaire dans cette très belle location.
Liba et David sont des hôtes charmants, accueillants, discrets mais disponibles, de très bon conseil, très serviables et pleins d'attention (de quoi manger le soir de l'arrivée nous attendait dans le réfrigérateur. Et lorsque notre voiture a manqué de liquide de refroidissement la veille du départ, Liba et David se sont mis en quatre pour nous dépanner).
La location est tout à fait fidèle au descriptif : vaste, pratique, confortable, très bien équipée (lave-linge, lave-vaisselle, micro-onde,...), très joliment décorée avec une très agréable terrasse. La maison est aussi très agréables pour les enfants (beaucoup de livres à disposition, des jeux, et le baby foot qui a été très apprécié...).
Le village de Zadni Treban est très calme et parfaitement bien situé. Si l'on est motorisé, il y a de grandes surfaces à 5 min en voiture, mais il y a aussi tout ce qu'il faut sur place. La ballade de quelques kilomètres jusqu'au château de Karlstejn en vaut vraiment la peine. Et la visite de la cristallerie de Nizbor (à 20min en voiture) était très intéressante. Et ce ne sont que deux exemples parmi tous les sites recommandés par nos hôtes que nous n'avons malheureusement pas eu le temps de visiter...
Et bien sûr Prague est toute proche : 10min à pied jusqu'à la gare, 30 min d'un train très confortable (2 trains par heure jusque tard le soir ; et de plus très bon marché : l'aller-retour à 5 personnes pour l'équivalent de 10 euros...) et on arrive au coeur de la ville ! Nous y sommes allés 4 jours de suite et l'avons parcourue à pied de long en large avec un plaisir toujours renouvelé.
Nous ne pouvons que recommander cette excellente adresse, que vous voyagiez en voiture comme nous ou par avion !
