We are the second family to own this magnificant island and beautiful victorian house in 112 years. My 3 brothers and I grew up in Rochester, NY and all have wonderful families which include 20 grand children. It has been the greatest experience ever to watch them discover the 1000 islands. We all gather at the islands from our homes in Roch.and Ossining, NY.
It is one of the most magical and beautiful areas in the world. A real surprise to find more than a 1000 islands in upstate NY. We all grew up dreaming of owning our own island and 'dreams do come true.' We were amazed at the homes beauty when we first saw it which was in ill repair. We have completely restored the house to what it was when it was built adding essential modern updates... plumbing, heating, electric. Then furnished it in period furniture. What fun!
There is nothing more exciting, adventurous, romantic thank owning your own island. Awesome!! It offers peace, tranquility, privacy and room for all your family to enjoy especially the water sports. A life changing experience. It is such a privilege to own such a magnificent piece of history. AND one we are able to share with the world thru VRBO and Homeaway.
