La casa Bartulo es la casa ideal para quien busca un poco de relajación, al tiempo que sensaciones diferentes a las propias de la vida urbana. La finca está situada en plena campiña gallega ofreciendo un ambiente rural con animales domésticos y huerta incluida. A su vez se puede disfrutar de paseos en los bosques cercanos, desconectando de la vida mundana sin grandes esfuerzos.
Su virtud también está en su ubicación, ya que la red viaria que la circunda la sitúa apenas en 15 minutos en coche de Santiago de Compostela y a no más de 60 minutos de las grandes urbes gallegas. Si vas con niños tienenes solucionado el aburrimiento gracias a su piscina, columpio, canasta y jardín disponibles para ellos... ¡puede ser que hasta incluso se olviden de la televisión!
Queremos darles las gracias a Pepe y Mª Carmen por saber hacer de la hospitalidad que se le supone a un anfitrión, algo espontáneo y cómodo para el intruso. Los días que hemos compartido con vuestro quehacer diario han sido muy gratos.

Som una família amb una jove de 20 anys i una noia de 14. Vam estar una setmana a Galícia i vam escollir aquesta casa. Tot és com està anunciat, sense engany. Les habitacions còmodes. La cuina estupenda; la vam utilitzar sempre. Els propietaris Pepe i Mari Carmen van ser molt atents. Com que vam arribar a l'hora de dinar ens van preparar una truita de productes del seu hort que estava deliciosa. També ens van obsequiar amb un enciam i fruita.
La situació és ideal ja que volíem visitar Galícia per totes direccions. Queda prop de les ries baixes, de A Corunya, de A costa da Morte i cap a l'interior també. Lugo ens va encantar, amb la seva gran muralla romana. Recomanem visitar i sopar a la plaça de La Leña de Pontevedra. Santiago queda a 10 minuts. La casa disposa d'un extens pati de gespa, molt cuidat i ple de flors. La piscina en perfectes condicions. Des de dins es pot escoltar el silenci, l'ambient és plenament rural.
No tenim cap inconvenient per e recomanar aquesta casa. Si mai tornem a Galícia no ens preocuparem de cercar un altra lloc per e fer-hi estada.

The property is described as "semi detached". To UK guests this means two houses of the same size, each beside the other. In fact, it is actually a flat, forming about 25% of the house, and the owners live next door and upstairs. This is not very obvious from the photos. The south-facing private garden is directly overlooked by two ground-floor dining room windows of the main house, although there was rarely anyone in those rooms. There is a parking area shared with the family. Access to the swimming pool is gained by walking around the house and across the main garden, which is a field of about 2.5 hectares, with sheep and hens. So the pool is about 200m from the door. It is a curious elevated construction but of a very good size and kept spotlessly clean. The family - who are lovely, very friendly and often brought fruit and nuts - don't speak any English apart from Raquel who deals with the bookings. This was not a problem for us as we try to avoid places used by British tourists anyway. Raquel does not stay at the house - she was always incredibly helpful with great communications and even met us at the airport. The house has very effective double glazed windows. There is a large new LCD TV. British visitors will perhaps be surprised there is no tea pot or electric kettle. The Santiso district in which the property sits is still growing. At the moment it has little to offer by way of entertainment apart from a hotel and two pubs about 1/2 km walk away (plus a restaurant that never seems to be open). There is no village square as such, however an evening in the pub was always good fun with plenty of local characters. The area is only 12km from wonderful Santiago de Compostela, 4km from the airport and is a good holiday base with easy access to the motorway nextwork. If you were expecting 100% privacy with lots of old-world charm and entertainment on your doorstep, perhaps you should look elsewhere. If you want excellent value for money amongst friendly people in a quiet area, a nice pool and are prepared to make your own entertainment (or need a base for travel and exploring) then the property can be recommended. The family also have two dogs, one of which will provide regular and affectionate entertainment.

We stayed at the house for one week in July and had a lovely relaxing time. Raquel and her family were very friendly, and extended a warm welcome on our arrival. The village is very tranquil, with three restaurants close by, and two supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. The house is small, but lovely, and presented very well. Everything was clean and the gardens are immaculate; everything you need for a holiday rental is supplied. A wonderful holiday location!
