This apartment is a hidden secret and located perfectly on a picturesque canal in a quiet district of Venice where you are able to blend into the local life very easily.
The apartment was clean and beautiful inside. The living room and master bedroom have great light and are right on the canal below. The bathrooms are clean and the kitchen is fully equipped.
Everything is of excellent quality.
There are a multitude of restaurants, bars and shops within a five minute walk of the apartment. A Bakery, Gelateria and Grocery store are JUST around the corner. Campo Santa Margherita is full of activity and is less than a five minute walk away.
Great Holiday in a great apartment.

I stayed here with my two young adult daughters for five nights in April. We had a wonderful time and everything about Jon's apartment is perfect: stylish, clean and efficient. We will definitely return and hopefully for longer. I can't imagine a better or easier place to stay in Venice.

Our stay in this superb apartment was fantastic. My wife and I know the area reasonably well and agree that it would be difficult to beat the convenience for all the amenities. There are good bars and restaurants in the area as well as a good selection of shops etc. The vaporetto stop is a five minute walk away (max.) The apartment itself is clean, warm and very comfortable. There are too many extras to mention, but needless to say we wanted for nothing. From the moment we contacted Jon to book the apartment everything went very smoothly. We were met on time by his representatives in Venice and have no complaints at all about our stay, except it wasn't long enough. We hope to stay there again in the future.

Our first visit to Venice & what an enjoyable stay it was. The rental was perfect in location for site seeing & easy access to train station or arrival from airport. The flat was clean, comfortable & provided whatever we required during our stay. Shops, cafes & restaurants are within close walking distance. We highly recommend this rental & hope to go back one day!

We were a family of five including two adults and three boys aged 13, 11 and 9 who recently stayed in Ca Leonessa. I cannot recommend this rental highly enough. Jon is the consumate host and the apartment has everything you need for a pleasant, luxurious stay in Venice. Stop looking and book before someone else steals your dates. Your wont regret it.

My family of 5 had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at this lovely apartment. It is situated in a lovely part of Venice, quiet but close enough to all the sights and nightlife. All conveniences are taken into consideration here, the apartment has been completely modernized.The beds were comfortable, wifi so the kids were happy, air conditioning which was very much needed in August. All correspondance with the owner went smoothly and in a very timely fashion. I would certainly recommend staying here

The apartment is absolutely beautiful. Many times, the photographs on the internet listings are designed to make the properties appear nicer than they are in reality. Not so with Ca’ Leonessa! The apartment is even better in person. The entire apartment is exquisitely decorated. Many vacation rentals seem to be decorated only for their intended purpose – as investment rental property. Here we felt as though we were house guests, only without the owner present during our stay. EVERYTHING is of excellent quality. There was plenty of space for our family of four. (Two adults and two teens) The bathrooms are beautiful and having two of them proved invaluable in assisting our family to get ready quickly so that we could enjoy this marvelous city. The bedrooms are spacious, with abundant built-in storage, including plenty of drawer, shelf and closet space.

The iHome units in each bedroom were a nice touch and were especially appreciated by our kids. They also enjoyed the Wii while we prepared breakfast in the mornings in the wonderful kitchen which has not just one, but two refrigerators. The flat screen TV in the living room was appreciated as we were able to enjoy coverage of the Olympics each evening. The two air conditioning units kept the apartment more than comfortable for the hot July and August days and nights of our trip. The washing machine at Ca’ Leonessa worked flawlessly and our clothing dried fine on the hanging dryer in the apartment.

The location is perfect. It is full of activity during the day and evening but quiet at night when it is time to get some sleep. It takes only about 10 minutes to walk to the Frari church or Academia. With the vaporetto even closer, the rest of Venice is easily accessed. Piazzale Roma is a 15-20 minute walk away. There are a multitude of restaurants, bars and shops within a five minute walk of the apartment. A Bakery, Gelateria and Grocery store are JUST around the corner. Campo Santa Margherita is full of activity and is less than a five minute walk away and Campo San Barnaba (with an excellent exhibit on Leonardo Da Vinci’s machines) is just just on the other side of the canal.

In summary, our family thoroughly enjoyed our four days in Venice and I have to say that Ca’ Leonessa is, without a doubt, the finest example of a vacation rental property. We intend to visit Venice again and most certainly will choose this property as our “home away from home” when we do.

What a wonderful apartment. The location is perfect: near a bakery, grocery, fruit market, restaurants, shops and in a real neighborhood. It was quiet and peaceful. The decor is enjoyable and had all the amenities that someone traveling could ask for. It was easy to connect with the host and she was ever so helpful in her suggestions. We had our senior parents and young, adult daughters and everyone was very comfortable and happy. Having a washer was nice to clean our clothes as we were traveling on for another week in Europe. Thanks for the great rental apartment. We hope to return again!
