Without an exaggeration it was an absolutely fantastic experience to stay in Marcello's apartment. From the time my wife, teenage daughter and I arrived at Rome's Fuimicino airport until our departure a week later, Marcello did whatever he could to make us feel "home away from home". For a very reasonable payment he was willing to take us in his car around and outside Rome with a running commentary. He was also willing to provide us with lot of helpful tips on Rome. The apartment was very well located, spacious and clean. It is maintained with lot of care. I would strongly recommend this place for anyone who wants to visit Rome and be at home. We could enjoy Italian hospitality in its finest form. Marcello was simply superb!

Rome was not built in a day! So for myself and my family choosing a place where to stay to feel, live and grasp the meaning of real Rome, we looked to find a luxury place in an excellent position. The options were many but we were very lucky to find Marcello's apartment, just few metres or just 2 minutes walk from the Vatican Museums and St. Peter! Soooo close! Unbelievable! In fact seeing the tourists queueing every morning to enter the vatican museums, I noticed that the apartment is even closer to the museum entrance than the end of the line itself!!!

We found the apartment very clean, nicely furnished and very well equipped. Very quiet too! it's on the first floor and there is the lift too. Beautiful neighbourhood - three supermarkets nearby with so many options where to eat excellent Italian and Roman cuisine! So, all amenities are nearby including the Trionfale market, the markets near Ottaviano metro point and so many shops and views we truly enjoyed. Buses, metro and tram are just few minutes away - excellent connections!

We cannot not mention also the hospitality of Marcello - very hospitable person who goes out of his way to make you feel at home! He even came for us at the airport! Thanks to him, we had completely hassle free transfers. He was always available - just a phone call away.

Marcello, thank you so much for your beautiful apartment in the very heart of Rome and your great hospitality. It was very nice meeting you and seeing this beautiful city by staying so close to all the great historical centre of Rome. Look forward to come back!

My wife, son (age 2) and I stayed in the apartment and would highly recommend it to other families with children. The apartment was classy, well equipped and in a great location - very quiet at night and close to the things you'll want to see. It exceeded our expectations in all areas.

The best feature of the apartment was Marcello. Unfortunately, our son fell ill around the time we traveled to Rome, our flight was late getting in, and our luggage didn't make it to Fiumicino. Marcello patiently waited for us at the airport, drove us into the city and helped us secure groceries at a nearby market before it closed. He took time out of his schedule to deliver things we needed while waiting for our luggage (which arrived two days later), as well as driving us back to the airport when we decided to cut our trip short. I don't know what we would have done without him.

Though our trip was a bit of a nightmare, Marcello could not have been more helpful. He went above and beyond the call of duty. If you stay here, you will be in good hands.

Wir haben im April 2012 einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Rom verbracht. Die Wohnung liegt sehr zentral oberhalb des Vatikans in einem tollen alten Haus mit viel Charakter. Trotz der guten Lage ist es hier sehr ruhig und die Wohnanlage hat einen kleinen sehr schön gestalteten Innenhof. Alles ist fußläufig zu erreichen und auch die nächst U-Bahn Station ist nicht weit entfehrnt. Die Wohnung selber ist neu saniert, sehr sauber und toll eingerichtet. Uns hat nichts gefehlt.
Marcello, der Vermieter, hat uns am Flughafen abgeholt und noch einige Tipps zu Rom gegeben. Ein wirklich sehr netter Vermieter, mit dem man sehr gut auskommt. Bei Fragen ist er innerhalb kürzester Zeit über das Handy erreichbar! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Our family, two adults and two teenage children, stayed at this flat for one week in April, 2012. From the moment that Marcello met us at the airport, we began to relax, knowing that we were in capable hands.

We found the flat to be exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, and located on a quiet street in a secure building. Before leaving us to enjoy our vacation, Marcello gave us tips on navigating Rome and a reminder that he was just a phone call away should we need anything.

At the end of the week, a cheerful and prompt Marcello arrived to take us back to the airport. From beginning to end, we enjoyed our stay at the flat...and the location, a short walk to the Vatican, near lots of shops, restaurants, and the Metro was wonderful!

This apartment is really nice! The location is perfect in a quiet neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The apartment is clean, well furnished, secure and comfortable in every respect.

The biggest plus to this apartment is the Marcello Ferrante. We had a great time with Marcello and he took us out on several occasions. He is very knowledgeable on Rome and is well traveled as well. We rented an apartment a got a new friend as well. It is owners like him that make the HomeAway concept work well.

We made frequent visits to the Trionfale market for fresh food, wine and bread. All the goods and services you might need are just a few steps from the door. The bus stop is very close and the subway station a 5 minute walk.

We had weekly maid service by Veronica and it was very good. The apartment sparkled when she was finished. The apartment is fully equipped and we enjoyed our stay there. We hope to rent this apartment again in the future.

We loved this flat! As a family of 4, it was perfect. Marcello provided all of our transportation for a very fair price to and from the Airport. He also helped us with a babysitter for a "date night," which really meant a lot to us. The flat was clean, and well presented and in a perfect, quiet location. The wine and chocolates were a nice welcoming gift. The only issue we had was lack of internet during our stay (some technical problems). Internet cafe's were right around the corer. Overall, the trip was fantastic. Thank you Marcello. I promise next time we come, we won't bring so much luggage! :)
