Great Location, Nice Apartment - A Couple Issues
I'll start with the good - this apartment is in a fantastic location in Rome and is ideal for anyone looking to sightsee and enjoy the city. It's located, literally, in Piazza del Popolo, at the chokepoint of the three spokes that make up the major sightseeing roads to Ancient Rome. The apartment itself is definitely adequate - the kitchen is usable, the bathroom is nice, and the bedroom is comfortable. Our hosts gave us an overview of the city and walked us through a number of "local" restaurants and places to get food, which was very appreciated.
There were a few issues we had with our stay. Upon arrival, it took us a solid 90 minutes to connect with the individual who would let us drop off our bags in the apartment. We arrived on a Sunday which I'm sure was part of the issue, but I would still expect better service than this in general. Secondly, we never received the Wi-Fi internet that was promised to us via e-mail. When we arrived, they said they were switching providers, so maybe this issue will be fixed before others arrived - but again, I would expect better service than this when working with an apartment owner. The Wi-Fi issue didn't bother us too much as we weren't in the apartment too much. But to those that it might be important for, I would check thoroughly to make sure things are up and running before you arrive.
Again, we liked the place and thought it was a nice apartment.
