Truly Beautiful!!!!

Just returned form my stay at this fantastic Villa.
It is bright, clean, well-maintained, spacious & value for money. The kids (& the adults) loved the pool. House-keeping was excellent and there was a wasing machine & dryer available for us to use anytime. The beach is a short walk away and there are souvenirs, hair braiding etc available. Ocho Rios town is about 15-20 mins drive away.
Denton (the caretaker) & Catherine (housekeeper) were a "godsend" They were both so helpful. We chose this villa for it's location as we were planning a beach wedding. After viewing, just the outside in Feb'09, we decided to get married in the villa's beautiful garden in stead. The day after we arrived Mr Applton called to make sure everything was O.K for us. I mentioned that the water & ice dispenser on the US fridge freezer wasn't working, which was NOT a huge problem but it would have been nice to have ice for the wedding. By the following day, Denton announced that he had purchased a brand new fridge freezer for us & that it was being delivered the next day. Thank you Mr Appleton!! We actually kept both of them in the kitchen to store all the food and drink we had for the wedding.
On the day of the wedding it poured but this did not stop Denton from getting soaked, decorating the Gazebo for us, in the hope that the rain would stop, for us to get married under it. We ended up having the ceramony inside the villa. We opened up all the doors between the veranda and the living/dining area and the wedding co-ordinator transformed the room. We had seating for 30 guests and an asile for me to walk up! It was truly beautiful! The rain stopped enough of us to have some lovely photos taken in the garden.
Denton ran errands for me on the morning of the wedding and also doulbled up as 'barman' for the evening at the reception. Catherine helped with the serving the food.
The villa comfortably slept 6 people and we also had the studio apartment next door for 4 guest of the wedding.
We had a fantastic time there and we would definatley stay there again. A real home from home and NOT a rat in sight, as mentioned in a previous review! It's not a 5 star mansion as reflected in the price, but in my veiw, it is perfect for a relaxing self-catering holiday or large family get together. Thank you again Mr A, Denton & Catherine for making our stay so memorable. Maybe we will go back for our anniversary!

The Villa Patiently Waiting was exactly what my family needed to welcome us for our relaxing holiday in Jamaica. The property stood in beautiful well maintained grounds, ideal for a game of soccer! The bedrooms were all clean bright and very comfortable; the sitting room was well decorated & restful, and the kitchen had all the gadgets you could ever ask for. The pool was large & clean with lots of sun loungers. However, care is needed with wet feet as there is no wall or handrail leading from the pool down the steps back to the Villa. Denton, the Villa Manager was a real asset; he was friendly, helpful and ran the Villa quietly & efficiently.
The private beach was a very short walk away with good facilities for changing, eating and of course swimming
There were many beautiful places to visit, just a short taxi drive away, such as Dunne’s River, Oche Rios town centre and our favourite the Jerk Chicken restaurant next to the Irish Pub
We enjoyed our stay immensely and look forward to booking our return visit.

Me (36), My sister (25), My daughter (10) and my 23 year old cousin.. all females had a blast staying here. Denton the on property manager and the biggest helper in jamaica was wonderful to us, we had fresh produce and fruits delivered weekly and he would assist us anytime we needed him! The house keeper Renise is very nice and 100% trust worthy! The beach was a very short walk & we had no fear or worries walking at any hour! The community this house is in has a 24 hour security gate and so does the beach so at all times we felt completely safe!
The Property is very well maintained and the grounds are beautiful! The pool was always clean and we spent hours playin in it!
We have no complaints at all with the house or the service.
the only complaint we have is that we couldnt stay forever!

We had the time of life staying here. It was close to town and the beach was jus a 5 min walk away. The pool was really nice and was cleaned on a regular basis. The grounds keeper was very helpful and when ever you asked for he's help he did everything to help us out. The rooms were big and spacious and comfortable. I would recommend this place to anyone that want's to stay in Ocho Ricos. Nice peaceful neighbourhood.

I stayed at Patiently Waiting for 1 week last Oct 2008, We had the time of our life. The place was clean and well-kept, the rooms were spacious, it was home away from home. The location was ideal just few minutes away from the beach and about 15 min. from the town center and Dunn river fall. Denton was very helpful in making us feel at home, whenever we would ask for anything he would always say "no problem mon"
I would recommend this villa to all my friends and family and is looking forward to staying there on my next trip to Jamaica.
Oh, and I forget, I was able to negotiate a great deal with the owner.

We stayed here for 1 week the place was very clean and well maintained, the cook was very friendly and catered to all our needs.
Love the jerk chicken. The accommodation is spacious and the bedrooms all a good size with very comfortable beds. The kids had a great time playing in the pool, the beach is just few minutes away.
The destination was great just 10-15 min away from Dunn River Fall and the town shopping area, where you can get everything you need.
Overall a very good time had by all and I would return because of the service received.

I stayed in this villa in September and I would NOT recommend this property to anyone...the pictures do not show a true view of what this property is like...the furniture is old and the veranda screen is full of holes...I paid for an entire week and was ran out by rodents on my second day...There was a pool but it was not full when we arrived and by the time we left it still was not in working order. I was not offered a refund and basically told my loss by the owner. There where rodents runnin around the living room and kitchen and myself and daughter could not and will not deal with that on a vacation! Needless to say they won and we checked into the RIU next door

Recently returned from this villa. The location is great near Ocho Town Centre and a lively beach a stone throw away, very large grounds and well kept. Friendly caretaker.
However the villa is outdated, kept very dirty and overrun by rats, Dogs with open sores who constantly barked at us when entering and leaving the premisis. Two out of 3 TV's not working, furniture falling apart, telephone not working (no Sunbed, no Safe, and pool not private as advertised).
The owner was very unreasonable.
Unfortunately we were forced to leave due to the Rats.
Overall (without prejudice) I would not recommend this villa due to the fact that it was very unclean and hazzardous to one's health.

recently returned from renting this villa.
the location is great the beach is a short walk away which has the all important rum shack to wine the hours away.
villa is local to the town and attractions.
the pool is a great size and safety has been thought about with a gates and padlocks in relevant places.
Denton and Catherine are very welcoming and thier home cooking hit the right spot.
the property is large and spacious and has a great enclosed veranda to chill out in day or night.
low points
having one machine wash per week allocated which was not in the description
not having a tennis court as advertised and lastly having to come home to cold England.
be aware that staying in a property that has land surrounding it may bring out the rodents at night.
overall a great time had by all.

April 2008 i spent 1 week at the patiently waiting villa. on arrival we had someone patiently awaiting our arrival and showed us to the villa.The villa is very bright spacious and modern and clean. The private beach was only a few minutes walk away which was beautiful i often sat late at nite and early hours of the morning and watch the sun rise the tennis court was around a 3min walk from the villa . i found the people very friendly who were at mammee bay . i felt extremley safe with the 24hr security which you had to inform when going in and out exactly where you were goin the resort also has a security gate along with the actual villa the villa is very near to the town centre and all local fun activities such as dunns river i also found a small beach which was absolutely lovely 10mins drive away. the nite life is fantastic and again is only a 10min drive away. this was definetly a very nice villa i would recommend anyone to stay here i will most definetley be returning to patiently waiting in August with my family this time for 2 weeks with my children as i feel they will have lots of fun and be extremley safe definetly a villa which is value for money very satisfied can't wait to go back everything in description is exactly the same if not better.
