Located 2 kilometers South of Dominical, where the mountains meet the sea, Coconut Grove offers 3 well appointed cottages and 2 guest houses in a tropical jungle setting (2 night minimum stay required for both large and small beach houses and $10 extra per additional guest). All units are air conditioned, with refrigerators, coffee makers, (there's even coffee in the frig), toasters, private patios providing a postcard view of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets of Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Guests of Coconut Grove enjoy a private entrance to the mile long beach, an oceanfront swimming pool and Rancho with BBQ facilities.

Activities in the area abound and Coconut Grove will be happy to arrange canopy tours, sport fishing trips, river rafting, kayaking, waterfall tours, surf lessons, National Park tours, snorkeling, hiking, Ultra-light rides, scuba diving, Nature tours, bird watching tours, and much more!

I stayed for a week at coconut grove cottages in one of the small cabinas. The room was immaculately clean and had a nice bed, table and chairs, kitchenette and porch with a partial view of the beach. The hosts generously provided the room with coffee for the maker. The gardens are beautiful and the smell of the ylang ylang tree wafted through in the evenings. Th pool is lovely and you can watch the waves breaking on the shore as you swing in the nearby hammock. A short path takes you to a spectacular beach that stretches out for miles. There are rocks in the water , so water shoes are helpful for swimming. Shells and sandcrabs litter the beach along the shoreline. Walk or run along the shore in almost complete solitude. All in all a little bit of heaven on earth. 10 out of 10
