Fantastic two weeks in an exceptional villa

We have just come back from the most wonderful week at Villa Petra... Even though the weather wasn't perfect, the house was just so lovely we didn't mind being stuck inside for a few hours! ... When the weather was behaving we loved driving 2 mins down the road to the quiet, safe and pretty little beach. We would highly recommend this villa and look forward to returning in the future. We booked this house a few days before we start our family holidays in end of season in October from germany.It was nearly perfect. very quiete location, the next street is ca. 300m away so thats OK. The house is absolute perfect equipt with all you need. The interieur was really modern and you have three bathrooms and three bedrooms.All things about the booking were really easy for us, the maid gave us the keys, everyting works fine.all clean, the kitchen was full equipt.And the view is perfect to the seaside and to next island zakinthos. On evenning you can see the lights. Only the pool was a little to cold in October but the sea has nearly 21° and you have to drive only 2 km. But you definatly need a rental car. Skala is 5 km away, the village called ratzakli.The way to the house up the hill was in bad condition but only 500m away from the good road.The next mini market is only 1 km away, On the way to agostoli, 1 km before reach the town is a a big Lidl supermarket with cheap prices.The beaches were nearly empty very calm and clean. I can recoment the beach of koroni .Nearby 5 km away there is a small town katelios with lovely seafood at the beaches and 5km more up to mavrata there is a small greece restaurant with good prices called elios. We made some trips around and best we like is the beaches of myrthos and the small village of asos. Agostoli is a city nice but not more,and skala is a nice typical touristic location.You need a good road map around 1: 50.000 when you want to explore the island, because the streets are very small and bad signed.We als hiked up to the hill enos, great view.Poros has a nice harbour with a lovely restaurant.
Over all it was a perfect holiday.

Everything exceeded our expextations !
The house, the garden, the view the whole place is just beautiful. Our family, two audults and four "children " of age 20, 25, 27 and 29 spent one week in beginning of July, and all of us enjoyed the stay.
We recommend Villa Petra, but you need a car also for seeing other nice places at this exciting island.

I can't speak highly enough of the villa, it really is luxury.
The standard of build and furnishing are very high, the bedrooms are also very spacious as is the rest of the villa.
we have stayed in numerous villa's over the years in different resorts and I would say this is far superiour ro any Ive stayed in.
The maid and gardener/pool man couldnt have been more friendly and kept everywhere perfectly.
It's a short drive to Skala where we dined most evenings where they have numerous excellent eateries.
I will be booking again this year hopefully once I sort the dates.
Linda (the owner) was so helpful and friendly when we booked last year so if your thinking of going to Kefalonia then I would advise you hire this villa, trust me its wonderful.
