A family of four with teens
Our welcoming committee was a very large (but dead) cockroach on the floor by the bedrooms. The condo although full of ammenities needs updating and paint as it shows wear. The beds were worse than motel 6 and after a day at the parks it was tough on our backs. The number of the building was wrong in the directions, but a polite attendant helped us upon arriving late at night in finding the condo. The 3 pools are actually only 1 pool. The photos are not updated on the website and some furnishings have changed. Everything about Windsor Hills is over-used and shows wear. The icing on the cake was 1 toilet paper roll per bathroom per visit ~ for 5 days. After we requested a late check out and more toilet paper, the home owners association only granted a late check out. The toilet paper rule meant an added expense for these Disney travelers. I am puzzled how to recommend this condo or Windsor Hills to our friends or family.
Owner's Response: FYI - from the owner - this reviewer stated that they had "terrible results from VRBO" in the past, and I was leary when making the booking. I will not spend time breaking down this comment, but encourage you to ask any of our guests. 40% of our bookings are from PREVIOUS guests or referrals. Many guests return annually. I will just list a few points.
+ Cockroach? 5 years - we pay extra for a pre-rental walkthrough. Guest never told our management company about this. I tried contacting this guest to make improvements based on feedback and they have decided to use a forum insteac.
+Directions list the exact building number TWICE - with specific direcitons. Again, in 5 years - first time.
+Photos not updated, but the place needs updating? Doesn't make sense. The ONLY thing that is different in the photos - and will be updated...per guest requests - we took out the big entertainment center - added FLAT SCREEN TV's, installed ceiling fans, and regularly change the bedding. The photos are FACTUALLY correct! We don't bait and switch. I have over 100 positive reviews and this is our first negative in five years. If you don't like our place, you won't like any. I e-mailed the guest, told them that I was sorry they didn't enjoy their visit, and offered to make any changes that they could recommend. Maybe they will respond.
