We enjoyed our stay at this home and thought it was a nice touch to be welcomed with a basket full of goodies and a bottle of wine! There are beach chairs, mats, toys and an umbrella that really came in handy! The game room was nice although at times it was a little cramped to play pool and not airconditioned, so be sure to play early in the morning or in the evening.

The pool area was very nice and spacious with plenty of shade if you want to get out of the sun. The deck lounge chairs were great and not dirty or old looking. We enjoyed our meals outside and used the BBQ once and happy that there was gas in the tank.

The house is very spacious and clean but not immaculately clean. The sheets on the beds had such an offensive odor that we had to wash the bed sheets and pillow cases before we could go to sleep. There were three beds that we didn't use, but they were definitely in need of freshing up. There were plenty of towels as well, but they smelled as though they could go through the wash to be freshened.

The laundry room has a nice washer and dryer. Lucky we brought our own laundry detergent as there was very little there and would not have been enough to wash the sheets on three beds and do a few loads of laundry. The kitchen was also well equipped, and we didn't lack for anything there.

Besides the "sheet thing" we had a great stay! Thank you!

Wonderful house with everything you need for a home away from home. The house and property are exceptionally well kept and up-to-date.

Coffee by the pool while the birds are singing, butterflies floating through the air and lovely flowers in bloom--it doesn't get better than that.

Gareth & Eileen are there whenever they are needed. The "Welcome Basket" is a great touch for the weary traveler.

Beautiful house in a great location, beaches, restaurants, great shopping and quiet tranquility.

We are regular visitors to Florida with over 20 years of experience renting villas throughtout Florida and Europe. The owners of this property provide those little extras that make a great holiday home into something special.

Set on an oversized plot and approached via a long sweeping driveway, the villa is immaculately presented, both in terms of cleanliness and decoration. High quality furnishings are complimented by an abundance of unique accessories making the villa feel like a home from home.

All rooms are large, bright and fully equiped with Cable TV, DVD, free internet, quality bedding and towels, modern kitchen appliances and all the cutlery and dishes you could hope for. The welcome basket on arrival was much appreciated and included the basic essentials such as a bottle of good wine and even cold beer in the fridge!.

The location is very private yet only 5 minutes from spectacular beaches, delicious restaurants and numerous golf courses. If you want relaxation in a quality setting, then this is for you.

My family and I have just returned from a week's stay at Lake View Manor. We had a wonderful week in a beautiful location just south of Venice. We felt very spoiled staying at Lake View Manor which is fully equipped with everything you could possibly wish for.
The location is very peaceful and only a short distance away from the beach which at the time we were there had seen record turtle nests. The property backs onto a nature reserve and we were treated to first hand sightings of egrets and ospreys landing in the surrounding garden and an absolute treat when one of the local alligators came to call. They don't bother you if you don't bother them folks!
If you are after a relaxing luxurious location not too far from some excellent restaurants in Venice (Crow's Nest has an exceptional location on the waterfront, excellent service and is very good value) then this is the place for you. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone- you will be guaranteed a wonderful stay. The property was very well maintained with everything you needed and more and Gareth was only a phone call away if we needed anything (which we didn't).
The pool was spotless and the additional games room a real asset with a teenager in tow (table football and snooker table included).

We spent a week here in August 08, after spending 3 weeks in Orlando. This villa is absolutely lovely. In an ideal, peaceful location. The owners are dead friendly and approachable. Villa is well equipped and maintained. Plenty to do in surrounding area, and very close to beach. Pool area is lovely and surrounded by fine mesh so you feel as if its not there and yet it still keeps the creepy crawlies away.
Can't fault it, and would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone.

We were two families on vacation in Florida this summer.
The first week we spent in Orlando,doing all the Theme Parks,and a lot of outlet shopping.
So therefore we wanted a second week,with a lot of sun and relaxing.
This house really was perfect for that! It had a swimmingpool,that was covered with a finemasked net,that kept insects away,but let the sun and the wind in,so you could relax by the pool and get tanned,if that´s what you want.It was only a short drive away from the wonderful Manasota beach.
The games room with the pooltable,kept our teenagers busy with many latenight fights!
The house really was all that we expected,very accurate with the pictures on the net,and very clean and well maintained.A short drive away you could find a shopping center,where you could buy groceries and all kind of things.There was also a couple of good restaurants.
The owners,Gareth and Eileen had put out a basket with goodies for us when we arrived as a welcome gift,and that was very appreciated.
We e-mailed and spoke several times with Gareth,both before and during our stay,and he always gave us a good and reliable impression.
We would very much like to recommend this house,and will probably rent it again,if we go to Florida in the future.

2 families went together so thats 4 adults and 4 children. We had a fantastic time and the villa was a big part of that. Its in an ideal location, was easy to find, was certainly big enough and had every facility you could wish for.
We ate at a couple of really goood places recommended in the villa guidebook, just a short drive away, well worth it.
The local beach is accessed over a bridge where dolphins played and could easily be seen, we saw Ospreys and other fascinating wildlife. For walking there was a nature trail just around the corner.
The villa and area was just what we wanted for a 2nd week in Florida after the high intensity of Orlando and theme parks. A real chilled out relaxing week.
