We welcome you to a holiday experience in our self catering traditional Maltese House of Character in St. Paul's Bay, Malta. A rare find in this day and age of modern developments. It is licensed and approved by the Malta Tourism Authority and is available for short term rent throughout the year. It is a comfortable residence boasting traditional patterned floors, wooden beams, high ceilings and many other rustic features. It offers all the mod cons necessary to comfortable living today. The house has stunning sea views of the bay. It consists of entrance hall, sitting/ dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, four bedrooms, bathroom, shower & toilet downstairs, garden, patio with barbeque area which is ideal for relaxing on a hot summer's day. Although it is situated in the village core it enjoys stunning sea views and is in a quiet area, yet it is well located within walking distance of the sea, sandy beaches, bus stops, shops, restaurants, banks and the popular resort of Qawra.
The following is a review from clients who have spent a holiday in the house, and it gives a more detailed description of the house :
' This was our 1st time booking accom online so had certain qualms - but they proved to be totally unfounded. The house was exactly as stated on website infact if anything information didn't do it justice. This house is special as is Carmen who is a mine of information I really don't think there's anything she doesn't know - a truly lovely lady. The house was lovely and clean and has absolutely everything you could need even down to books and jigsaws and even more amazing kitchen knives that were lovely and sharp! It is situated about 2mins away from the seafront and the local beach which we found a real bonus after a day of being out and about to come home park up then walk down for an evening swim. A few doors up from the house is what Carmen calls a minute market (rather than mini market) it has all the basics and a few surpises too. Up the top of the road are the main shops (5/10 Mins walk) with some really wonderful fresh fish shops and everything else you could need (fresh bread from the bakers - a definite must) all with the added bonus that it's downhill on the return journey. This house is a true haven - such a refreshing change from souless apartments, etc with character oozing out of it. It is extremely spacious so if a large group were there there is plently of living space as well as bedrooms. The main bedroom (sea facing) is huge and has a wonderful sea view - extremely tranquil in the evening watching the sun set. Carmen's beautifully tended garden is a real treasure - where we did most of our living. It is shaded, plenty of tables and chairs and very private. The plants are so well tended, colourful and pretty a real tribute to Carmen's careful nurturing any garden lover will recognise a kindred spirit. One last thing - the staircase - strange thing I know but it is so elegant and sweeping - holiday clothes didn't do it justice!~ This property is more than a house it really is a little part of Malta. Congratulations Carmen with your house and your welcome you will never be without bookings. Definitely going to return again and again' (Stuart and Judy, Co.Cork,Ireland)
Scuba Diving: The Maltese Islands are a real paradise for divers and snorkellers, as an all-year-round centre! The minimun sea temperature never drops below 14 degrees celcius. The climate and duration of sunshine during the winter months are similar to an average North European summer. The islands offer excellent infrastructure for divers representing a very high standard offering services to the most sophisticated demands. Malta. Gozo and Comino boast a vast range of diving both from shore or by boat. The excellent under water visibility, the unique topographic structure of its underwater landscape, and the healthy flora and fauna, qualify the islands as the ideal place for this wonderful sport. One can also find an abundance of caves, holes, grottos and crevices. The islands also boast a vast variety of wrecks, ranging from the First World War to specifically scuttled wrecks.
