Great house right on the beach!
My family just returned from a great vacation on Anna Maria Island. We've been 4 or 5 times and this is our favorite beach house so far. It is very well appointed and offers plenty of room for a family. The master bedroom was nice and large, had a walk-in closet and plenty of dressers for storage. The updated master bath has 2 sinks, a jetted tub and separate shower. The 2nd bedroom is smaller, has twin beds and an attached bath with shower. The kitchen is rather small, but very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed having a washer & dryer in the unit, allowing us to pack less and we could wash the provided beach towels each day. The house is adjacent to a street that has room for 6-7 cars to park for beach access which did allow for more beach-goers to be on "our" part of the beach, so some days we had to move our stuff up the beach 20 yards or so to get away from the crowds. It was mainly an issue on the weekend. In the garage there are two bikes we used several times. Just a short distance away is Anna Maria's newest (and best!!) donut shop -- Anna Maria Donuts. Donuts are made to order. Expect to wait in line, but they are well worth the wait! We went two days in a row.
We enjoyed spending our evenings (after walking the beach at sunset) on the large patio. It has a fairly new Weber BBQ grill, a couple of tables with umbrellas, and plenty of lounge chairs. The beach is just down a short path through the sea oats.
There were only a few items we wished the house had offered: a radio in the master bedroom, a hair dryer, and an umbrella to take to the beach. We used our mp3 player to satisfy my husband's need to listen to something as he falls asleep, I decided "who really needs to dry their hair at the beach?" and we bought an inexpensive umbrella in town and used it all week, then left in the garage for future renters.
We would love to stay here again on our next visit and would recommend it to everyone.
