in the owner…As repeat renters, we found a few things disappointing compared to our previous visit to this unit in Ekahi. We are pretty low maintenance travelers but felt the disappointments were significant enough to let the owner know. We did not notify her until the day before our departure because we were not looking for anything in return, simply to make her aware. The owner’s response completely set us back.
We have loved renting in Ekahi since 1996. It is a great place! We will, without a doubt, rent in Ekahi again. Simply not from this owner.

Hello XXXXX,
My family and I are staying this week in your unit at ekahi XXC. This is our second time staying with you and I feel that I should share some disappointment regarding the unit this trip.
My husband and daughter were very rudely told by the housekeeper that they could not put any of the groceries in the fridge. Not check in, just drop things off in the fridge. We have 2 beach towels, 4 regular towels, one set of dirty sheets and the master bath looked and smelled as though it had not been cleaned. The mattress on the bed is way past its prime, one side is almost broken down. We still love Ekahi and the unit’s location but not sure how often you get into the unit but as an owner I felt you should know.

I am apalled at your Email and only wish you had let me know prior to your last day, I have had nothing but compliments on our unit and the housekeeper and the last three guests have requested return visits next year and they have been frequent Ekahi visitors. There have always been more than enough linens fir stays if three weeks or more and I can not believe your comments. Aloha Hxxxx Mxxxxxxxx
Owner's Response: In over 30 years of renting our condo, we have not had any type of complaints as this review indicates.
To begin with, the renters were looking for a discount in the prime time spring break period and we went back and forth on the price which is considerably lower than other comparables. They arrived and asked to store items in the refrig. at 9.30 in the morning(checkin is 3.p.m.)I was not made aware of this until my housekeeper informed me. There are ample towels in the unit: my phone number is on the counter by the telephone and had I been made aware of her complaints we could have alleviated this situation. The last three guests have requested a return visit for next year and as most of my guests are repeat visitors, I was "appalled" at the comments made.
