Enjoyable Tuscan Holiday

As American's visiting Tuscany for the first time, this was the perfect villa to stay in. Two keys for our wonderful trip, the swimming pool kept our three children and one teenage family friend occupied on the days we relaxed and the other was the air con (allowed us to sleep in comfort away from the mosquitoes which came out at night).
Franco and Vera were great hosts guiding us to local restaurants that were fabulous and giving us advice on how best to do our day trips to Florence (1 hour and 20 mins), Pisa (30 mins) and Lucca (45 mins). We also spent a day at the beach club they have access to which was very nice.
Camaiore is not a tourist town but it has lots of character and amenities that you may desire and is an easy walk from the Villa. There is also a Pizzeria less then 100 meters from the Villa for take away or to dine in that's perfect for the family.
The villa is in immaculate shape and very clean. The double shutters kept out the morning sun too well :) but it is vacation. Franco and Vera have setup many places in the front and back garden to relax, half a glass of wine, read a book, or toss a Frisbee with the kids. I really enjoyed the view from the back garden looking up at the Tuscan hillside.

It is great house in wonderful location! Is close to the Camaiore and to all shops and restaurants, but out of noise at the same time. We spent two wonderful weeks there. Very good for one or two families. The owners were very helpful. Thank you a lot Vera and Franco! We hope to come back to your house again.

Great week in Tuscany

Franco and Vera made us very welcome in the very clean and organised villa. They live next door but did not disturb us at all (and I hope we didnt disturb them !). The Gardens are excellent for active children and we enjoyed many a long afternoon playing cricket, badminton and football in between jumping in and out of the very clean and nice pool to cool down - with great views to the mountains. The location is great - 10 minutes walk to the village centre with all the shops and a cute market square with a great resturant doing tasty pizza from a wood fired oven. Its about a 15 min drive to the beach and 20 min drive to the glitzy Via Reggio. The property is very well maintained with air conditioning, SKY TV. The furniture and kitchen is functional and adequate. I would recommend the villa to any family who want to spend time in the gardens relaxing and playing games.

two dreamy weeks with familiy

We spend two famous weeks in your house and we missed nothing at all.
We were two families with 4 children (6-8) and we enjoyed our time that much, that we were very lazzy and we spend a lot of time in the loveley garden with reading books, swimming in the very refreshing and big pool oder playing badminton or football (childs against adults). We great BBQ we finished our days.
We also had some nice sightseeing tours to Lucca, Pisa, Viarregio, the Cararra Mountains, the "chianti mountains".
The house has all equipments you can imagine...is really clean und very nice inside!
The four bedrooms and bathrooms were perfect for us! And last but not least Vera, Franco and Cleo (the dog) were that nice and friendly, that we like to come back soon - surely!

Great Family Holiday!

Our family of four from San Francisco and our friend's family of three from Montreal had the most wonderful experience visiting Tuscany and staying at Villa Delfo. We were a little apprehensive what the villa would be like since we rented it for 2 weeks, but we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations, cleanliness, spaciousness and especially how helpful Vera and Franco were. Both of them were always ready to help when we had some questions and came over when we needed help. Camaiore is a quaint little town, not a lot of tourists, which is what we were looking for. Our kids, 13, 11 and 6 yrs old had fun playing soccer in the huge front yard and swimming in the pool. We visited different cities almost every day so it was nice to have a home base and not have to look for a hotel every night.
We would definitely stay at Villa Delfo again when we come back to Tuscany. It was pretty convenient visiting most of the towns in Tuscany.

Charming villa and amazing garden

We have recently returned from a wonderful week's holiday at Villa Delfo. The villa is extremely well maintained, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the garden so much and barbecued a couple of times in the evening.
Vera and Franco were friendly and helpful but never intruded.
Camaiore itself is a delightful, traditional Tuscan town with many good eating places. On our first walk into town we passed "Il Colosseo" on the left hand side of the road. It has a modest little terrace where we sat enjoying the heat and the sun. The pizzas and pastas were delicious and very good value for money.
All in all Villa Delfo is the perfect setting for a relaxing holiday.
P.S. We are 2 retired couples - brothers and wives. However, we all agreed it would be a great house for families as well.

Definitely the best place to stay in Toscana!

This place is absolutely amazing! Every single place in the house is very clean, tidy and furnished, cozily decorated and in excellent condition. The beds are vey comfortable and all the rooms have air-conditionner (all new very silent) and the windows are provided with those anti-mosquitos protection screens. The kitchen has all the facilities in excellent condition and is very clean as well. The external areas (front and back yards) have a beautiful grass field with flowers and, regarding specially the backyard, it has got a beautiful kioski for pleasant outdoor meals and a very nice pool. The surrounding view from the house is absolutely gorgeous, with the Toscan mountains and a peacing nature all around. I have travelled to many places around the world and one thing I am sure about is that this is one of the best places I have ever stayed in for holidays. All the photos posted on the add shows precisely how the rooms really are and it is a certainty that you will confirm your expectations once you see the house and its surroundings in loco. We understand why it is such an excellent house to stay after meeting the owners, Vera and Franco. They are very gentle, caring and friendly, and were always making the most to make me and my family as comfortable as possible. Well, they really made it! Everyone in my family was extremely pleased and satisfied with all we got there. I definitely recommend Villa Delfo as a very pleasant "oasis" to stay in Toscana!

A wonderful stay in late spring

We - family with 3 kids (between 7 and 10 years) - enjoyed the nice house in a quite non-touristic residential area of Camaiore. The house is fully in line with description of the web. Franco and Vera - the wonderful hosts - living in the semi-detached house next door have been very friendly and supportive in all the little needs and questions we had.
The garden and the pool together the terrace with beautiful views to the mountains are quitely located and invite for relaxing time and fun and playground for the kids as well.
The location is an excellent starting point to classical touristic trips to Pisa, Lucca, Florence - and of course to the beaches about 10 - 20 kms away.
Weather has been wonderful - sunny, not too hot. June seemed to be the perfect time since the touristic locations including beaches weren´t crowded at all and very enjoyable.
