Apollo Condo Unit #305 on Marco Island, FL was basically well maintained. The view from the balcony was supurb and the amenities of the Apollo complex were very good (beach, pool, spa, fitness room etc.). The major complaint we had was with the kitchen appliancesin Unit #305 The freezer compartment in the fridge was in desperate need of being defrosted...ice a few inches thick on the freezer walls really cut down on the usable freezer space and prevented the freezer door from closing fully. There were definite warm and cool spots in the fridge which made keeping our perishables evenly chilled a problem. The stove was another major problem!. The only large burner did not work at all and the other three small burners were on a slant and heated up unevenly. These things were bad but the worst part was the oven which did not have a working broiler element and the oven temperature was not accurate at all! A pan of brownies I had baking at 325 degrees burnt to a crisp after 18 minutes and the directions said they should take 30-35 minutes. They were so burnt I tossed them right in the trash and noticed that the Wilton baking pan I brought with me from home was scorched on the inside and unable to be cleaned so that went in the trash as well. I had not intended to prepare gourmet meals on my vacation but I did expect to have working appliances to use for the items I wanted to make.
We did not let these items spoil our vacation and we would gladly return to Marco Island again someday but not to Apollo Condo Unit #305 unless they have made major kitchen appliance replacements.
