There were no pictures for our aprtment, but it was FANTASTIC!! I loved the decor, very modern! I felt at home! The staff were very helpful and spoke English. I would defineitely stay here again. The price was a little more than a hotel but this was more like being at someone's home. We even got slippers to use while we were there. Very clean and everything was brand new. The location was awsome! It was a 5 min. walk to the Chalres bridge, 15-20 min walk to the new town, 20-25 min walk to the old town and 30 min walk to the main Cathedral. The only down side to this apartment would be the parking and the parking price. There is reserved parking on the street for the locals. The non-residence havce to find a spot and pay 30 Crowns per hour from 8am-6pm everyday except Sun. The other alternative would be to park in the Theater parking lot for 50 Crowns per hour, 24 hours per day, everyday! We parked in the Teater parking lot the first night we arrived until we got settled and then found a spot on the street for a little chaper. The neighborhood was safe and restaurants, clubs and a market were all close by. There is a great, cheap and local restaurant just around the corner, ask at the front desk. Miss it just thinking about it! Have fun!

My wife and I stayed in apartment at Vlasska 8

Submitted: November 19, 2012 Stayed: October 2012
Dear Mr. Lorenc,
My wife and I stayed in apartment 5 at Vlasska 8 just recently. We want to thank you for coming to the apartment Tuesday night (October 23) about our concern over transportation to the airport the next morning. The transfer to the airport was excellent. The apartment had been recommended to us by friends, and we shall recommend it to anyone we know planning to travel to Praha. May I mention two items in the apartment which need attention? The refrigerator needs to be defrosted; there is much ice there. And the light over the microwave needs to be replaced.
Again, thank you for your efforts.
Sincerely,

We want to thank you for the fantastic stay we had

Submitted: November 19, 2012 Stayed: April 2012
Dear Ivo and Johanna,
We want to thank you for the fantastic stay we had in your apartment. We were very impressed with all the attention to detail that you took to make sure our visit was a wonderful one! From picking us up at the airport, to arranging for a driver to take us on an excursion to Cesky Krumlov, to printing our boarding passes...everything we needed you handled quickly and with a smile! We also appreciated the use of the cell phone while we were in the apartment.
We work at a university and our school sends professors to Prague on a regular basis. We have already spoken with the international team so that they will use your apartment when they next need to send staff to Prague.
Again, thank you for making our trip to Prague so wonderful!
Kind Regards,

Great location, very quiet

Submitted: November 19, 2012 Stayed: May 2012
We (Canadian couple, early 60s) rented an apartment (#5 in 8 Vlasska Street) for 10 days in April 2012. We cannot speak too highly of the company , the apartment or the location. The company responded within 24 hours to our initial booking enquiry (in flawless English), all our subsequent dealings with them were very professional and they delivered exactly what they promised. We took up their offer to be picked up at the station and taken to the apartment; Johanna was there waiting for us, provided much useful information and was very helpful - 12 Euros well spent.
The apartment was great, on the second floor (no elevator) in an 18th century building on a quiet narrow street below the Prague Castle. A comfortable bed, very nice and well equipped flat (no TV – but then, you have Prague for entertainment!), lovely 18th century (?) painted ceiling beams. They provided a mobile phone so we could make local calls and reach them in any emergency.
Great location, very quiet as this area is really one big cul-de-sac, so little traffic. Also, only 200 yards from the American Embassy, so high levels of security. Just down the street are several restaurants and cafés, a butcher, a greengrocer, a deli and a wine store and a bakery, and several late night mini-marts. Just a few minutes from St Nicholas Church (lovely concerts every evening), five minutes from the Charles Bridge and Malostranske Square (trams to the Castle and downtown), and a 15 – 20 minute walk up to the Castle – or better still, straight up Vlasska to the restaurant at the Strahov Monastery – great view over the city.
We will, certainly recommend this apartment and company to any of our friends visiting Prague.

The location was terrific

Submitted: November 19, 2012 Stayed: September 2012
In early September 2012, I rented Benedikska from Apartments in Prague. I had been in Prague in March and rented an apartment in the same price range from another agency. Beneditska had twice the space, a better layout, and many more amenities for the money. Benediktska had new appliances including a washer, a full stove, and a separate living room (none of which the other apartment had). The Internet connection worked perfectly. There was great cross ventilation with all the windows. It’s not a “luxury apartment,” but very pleasant and a great value for the price.
The location was terrific being close to Josefov and other Old Town sights on a quiet street. But when one walks through the arcade down the block to the Paladium center, you are almost at the Namesti Republiky METRO and have tramline and two large shopping complexes at hand. The fifth floor location at the end of a hall (with a good elevator) makes it even quieter.
Ivo and Lenka were quick to respond to all email inquiries. Apartments in Prague offers a 25 Euro delivery from the airport by the concierge, which was great. The concierge provided a cell phone for our use, which could be used for calls to landlines and had her number preprogrammed as well as numbers for police, fire and other emergency services.
I definitely recommend this agency!

Not fair enough to speak the truth - Benediktska

1 of 5
Submitted: August 8, 2011 Stayed: July 2011
No one should trust those people even if they are so kind. In our case they didn't speak the truth about the condition of the flat that they offered us.
We are a small family with two kids (15 months - they are twins) so our needs are clear: a not so small CLEAN flat in a building (also CLEAN enough) with an elevator to bring our big buggy up and down. They told us that the building had an elevator but that it was small (3 people) and the building itself was an "historical" building with old but functional furniture....
This is what we REALLY found: The building is so tumbledown, so bad maintained that the walls have cracks all around and the painting is falling down in and out of the flat. The elevator is not an elevator but just a freight elevator where someone added a panel by hand that is stuck with glue (we never used it with the kids, just I was forced to use it with the concierge when he was showing me the flat). The furniture is not just old but old and scruffy (what you can find in a second hand shop is, in most cases, much better than what we found there).
I complained but they told me that there were no other flat available immediately. They offered something in the next day but we didn't checked it because move again after you brought all the stuff needed for two infants at the fifth floor by walk is just crazy for a three days vacation. We LEFT THE FLAT ALMOST 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE (in the early morning of the second day). It should give you an idea about how unfair was their behavior after I entrust our few but important needs to them.
We NOT recommend to treat with those people in any case to no one. We lost our money and our time, that is much more precious.
Owner's Response: Since the apartment which we advertise on HomeAway was not available, we recommended another apartment in a great location in the Old Town district which does not belong to us. We have exchanged over 20 emails with this guest, explaining everything about this other apartment. We have specifically pointed out that the elevator is small, designed for 3 persons/270kg and it may not be big enough for their stroller. It is indeed an old elevator but it is designed for personal use (all residents use it happily every day). I can imagine that it could be scary for somebody who doesn't like elevators but it is a complete lie to say that it is a freight elevator. We have also bought an extra baby cot and a high chair for their twins to make their stay more pleasant (free of charge of course). We have managed to get them a parking permit to enable them to park close to the building - something which is difficult to get, requires an application at the Town Hall in advance. We tried everything possible to make their stay pleasant.

Shortly after arrival I've talked to this guest who said that we are providing a great service but they didn't like the apartment. We have offered them a larger apartment (for the same price) starting from the 2nd night as no other apartment was available the 1st night. We offered to send our driver to help with the moving. I called this guest again after the first night and repeated our offer to move to the different apartment for the other 2 nights and he said that they decided to stay since moving would be too difficult for them. Again we didn't hear any other complaint then 'the walls were cracked' (a hair-line crack which was really difficult to find) and the furniture was old (antique = old) - something what can be easily verified in the photo gallery on our own website with plenty of photos of each room.

We tried everything, offered another apartment, bought extra baby cot, high chair, parking permit and yet these guests refused an alternative solution and instead of that took a vengeance by submitting an negative review. We've been in the rental business for more than 12 years and we have collected hundreds of positive reviews on our own website. We have great many returning clients. We like to help people to explore our beloved city. But like in every service oriented business, from time to time one meets people who come already decided to complain about something and they leave as unhappy as they arrived, I'm afraid.

I.L.

VERY NICE APARTMENT IN PRAG

4 of 5
Submitted: August 8, 2012 Stayed: July 2012
My husband, my son and myself stayed for 4 days in this apartment located Vlasska 8 and we highly appreciated the location, close to the city center, that allows to visit Prag on foot. The pick-up at the airport was perfectly organized. The flat is very authentic, clean, nicely decorated, has a lot of space. The only disadvantage is the noise coming from the street (window isolation is bad), that is nevertheless understandable because you live in the heart of the city. I would recommend that the owners equip the windows with good curtains. For the time being, there is nothing and we woke up very early because of the light coming into the bedrooms. The mattrasses should be replaced to offer more comfortable beds.
