Firstly, know that you are dealing with a local owner and not a management company or absentee owner. I have lived in the area most of my life and my family has since 1921. I take your vacation seriously so you won't have to. Enough about me, let me tell you about Mediterranea.

I bought in Mediterranea because it is different. It's the kind of property that only the experienced owner could appreciate - not your common, boring, rectangular high-rise. Mediterranea has what the others do not - resort feel without the crowd. Mediterranea is all the rave, having nearly seven acres of beautifully manicured and spacious grounds; huge pool and pool deck; 500 feet of gated, private beach; private tennis court; onsite fitness center with quality equipment; and a look and feel that is uniquely Mediterranea. Consider these facts: Completed in 2003 and built using concrete and steel construction. Only four living floors. Of the 55 units, only 19 are rental. Two (2) below ground, assigned parking spaces. Each bedroom has private walkout balcony.

My beautifully furnished unit comes with WiFi when staying in and the free use of 2 chairs and 1 umbrella when at the beach. Chairs/umbrella are set up daily by a professional operator who can provide additional setups for a nominal fee. I have a keyless doorlock installed so you won't have to fuss with the keys.

I was privileged with being raised on this beach and I live today on the same property where I did as a child. Having lived waterfront all my life, I knew what I was looking for when I bought this place. I have owned the condos directly on the beach, and while they are beautiful during the day, at night those beautiful views looking out through the windows make for a giant black wall. The night views at Mediterranea are colorful and calming. It has that 'resort' feel without all the resort people. You'll see.

What makes this condo unique

Besides the views at night, you will also appreciate the low density of people. Mediterranea provides a huge piece of real estate for only 55 units - no other property compares. No more cramming into an elevator filled with those still soaking wet from the pool/beach. No more giving up trying to relax because of the constant noise coming from the pool. No more standing around poolside waiting for someone to surrender their lounger.

We have vacationed in Destin for years and the is by far the best property we've seen. The condo is great and the owner is very responsive to questions. The location is a plus and while it's across the road from the beach, the gulf views are spectacular. Providing beach service as part of the rental package is a convenience. We have stayed there about 6 times in the past three years and would not consider staying elsewhere.

This is my second year staying here and I love it! The location is perfect and the property is great. The unit is clean, the owner is very responsive and friendly, I love the reserved underground parking, the fitness center is up to date and clean, and Mediterranea is the nicest property in the area. I am already looking forward to my next stay.

This was our first vacation to Destin, FL and we loved it!!! This condo made our trip even better. The condo was great!!! The location was great!!! Awesome Condo! Clean, well furnished, secure, underground parking, great beach access and view

Unit 406B is a great condo for rental. It is very clean, well furnished and has a great view of the Gulf. Mediterranea as a complex is awesome. It is a relatively small number of condos, accompanied with a huge pool. Most of the time you feel like you are in your own resort. The beach chair service Steve offers is a real nice bonus, not to mention the storage cage in the garage to keep your outside stuff. We had a great week!

The description of the place is very accurate. Well updated condo that was very clean. The road between the beach and the pool was not an issue at all. The pool is the best thing about this place. Only minor complaint was the shower in the queen bedroom would not drain properly and the queen size bed looks more like a double bed then a queen size bed.
