The room was fine and in a busy busy busy location. Very loud and not able to sleep every night. There is a loud bar below that does not close until 5:00 in the morning. I wish there would have been a review before i booked my stay there. I was really disappointed to stay there. After a long flight you just want to rest a bit but that was impossible. We wore earpugs every night and still heard the pounding of the music and partying. Plus they dont smoke in the bar so they smoke outside so you cant open the window without getting a ton of cigarettes from around 200 people hanging out listening to their techno music all night. There is no ventilation in the room so it gets really warm and if you want air you have to smell cigarettes from all of the people below. I almost flew home after 3-4 days because i was so upset. Not what i had in mind for my paris stay!!! If you want to party all night long and be around a ton of cigarettes then this is the place for you but dont count on getting any sleep. Also there is scooter parking right below the window that you continually here all day and all night. Just count on eating out every night and not getting any rest or peace and quite! The owners were nice but did not have the house very equipped with paper toiletries, etc.
Owner's Response: Should not be mistaken about the choice of place of residence. The center of most European capitals is very lively with lots of traffic and noises. If you are looking for quiet (relative), you must choose a flat in some parts of the 16th arrondissement with its broad avenues, where there are no bars, no restaurant, no life and very little public transport. Do not choose one of the liveliest district of Paris, known for its narrow streets, its bars and restaurants and for its nightlife. We give always the address of our apartment which allows to visualize the location and surroundings. To reflect the arrival of summer, a ventilator was installed (it is not possible to install an air conditioner in a district where buildings are classified historic monument) and a window with a specific sound insulation should be installed at the end of June. The apartment is fully equipped. Do not forget that consumables (toilet paper, trash bags, salt, pepper ...) are not included in rentals, although we always let a little on arrival.
