Perfect place to unwind!

Review Submitted: September 23, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
Great villa in a nice village setting. Well presented and accurate description (unlike several villas we have rented in various locations in the past!). Kevin was responsive and ensured we had a great holiday. Friendly locals, nice pool if you want to relax and enjoy the great weather and some great locations to visit if you feel a little more active. Close enough to the enjoy the sea but nice and rural if you want to enjoy the peace and quiet. Recommended

Villa in marvellous village setting

Review Submitted: August 14, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We would not hesitate to recommend this lovely villa which we felt was really excellent value for money. It's right in the middle of a small rural village where turkeys and chickens roam and donkeys and carts pass by. The people in the village were friendly helpful and kind and twice we were given gifts of melons and peaches. the views from the balconies are of unbroken countryside - so peaceful and relaxing. The house is very comfortable and catered well for our needs. We did alot of cooking and found the kitchen well equipped and the summer kitchen and barbecue fantastic for our evening meals. The garden which felt really private, was really big and the pool a good size and lovely and clean. We hired a car and found it useful to visit local places of interest. The interesting town of Dobrich was only 8 kilometres away and great for supermarkets, its covered market (highly recommended for the quality and cheapness of its fruits and vegetables), restaurants (we had a lovely meal at Da Vinci's on a road off the main square) and the artisans' quarter where we bought pottery, wood and sheepskin slippers.. We were close to several beaches and we really liked Albena as it was quieter and spacious. We would also recommend Queen Marie's Palace and gardens at Balchick. The gardens were lovely. We drove to the town of Ruse on the Danube. This was a long day out but really worthwhile and very interesting. We also had a long day's visit to Sozopol and Nesebur which we enjoyed. Kevin was excellent to book with and always efficient and helpful re answering any questions.

Sun lovers hideaway

Review Submitted: August 5, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
What can i say it ticked all the boxes,we flew into Varna and picked up our car rental(easy) and it was a short 30 minute drive by simple instructions to the villa which is in a small quiete village. The Villa is very private as it is enclosed in its large garden by a wall around its perimeter so providing total security and safety. As sun lovers the good size pool with its excellant Barbacue and sun lounge area was perfect with nothing or no one to disturb the sun bathing.
The Villa has all excellant services so i will say no more except to say you will be hard pressed to find something similar for such a reosonable cost.

Very impressive indeed, well fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings. Very quiet location, ideal for us as the children could then have fun in the excellent pool, superb accomadation. Good beaches are only a 15 to 20 min drive away, and the nearby town has many excellent (and cheap!) restaurants. Kevin is great to deal with, we had one minor hiccup which he immediatly actioned and resolved, you really could not ask for more.

Very impressed with the villa. We arrived to it clean and stocked with essential provisions, toiletries and towels. The layout was nice and was a good size. Good quality lounge and bedroom furniture, also kitchen appliances [including dishwasher] Large garden with goosd sized, clean pool. Ample furniture and cushioned sun loungers. The summer kitchen was clean and the BBQ a good size too. I would recommend a car as the nearest town is some km's away, but very quick to drive to. The villagers are very friendly and helpful, [we even entertained them with a BBQ!! which they loved]
An ideal place for couples and those with young children as there were lots of pool sunbeds and games [even for us big kids] but not suggested for those who wish to seek a busy loud setting. However Balchick, Albena, Golden Sands and even Varna were a cheap taxi ride to visit. Locally grown food is recommended as the veg sellers along the roads were friendly, cheap and good quality! We plan to visit again as prior to visit the owner was contactable and answered all questions. Also the deposit was refunded the day after we returned.

First family holiday

The GT's Yorkshire
Review Submitted: June 8, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
The villa is beautiful with exceptional attention to detail. This was our first family holiday with two children under 3 years. Travel cot, change mat and even a small selection of books and toys were provided. For peace of mind a safety gate would have been advantageous but there is plenty of space to play. The bedrooms are all thoughtfully decorated and you feel like a guest in someone's home rather than in a holiday villa (which can sometime feel a bit sterile!). Kitchen has everything you could need. The outdoor kitchen is fab and we spent most of our time here and around the pool, which is a good depth for swimming. The village shop is really quirky and the owners make a real fuss of little ones. The beach at Albena is beautifully clean with loads of great restaurants to choose from and Varna makes an interesting day trip with something for everyone. We will definitely visit again as the children grow up - they're still asking when we're going back to the "swimming pool house"!

Villa Bulgaria

The Tudors Kent
Review Submitted: November 27, 2008 Date of Stay: August 2008
Lovely well equiped villa in a very friendly village. Village off the beaten track but only 10 min drive from the nearest town (excellent for markets) and 20 mins from lively beach resort. A car is essential for exploring the region which has lots to offer.

Kevin is a gentleman and sorted out a problem we had straight away when we rang him. He is very keen to please and tried hard to make sure the holiday was as good as it could have been for us. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this villa.

Perfect Get Away

Sam and Anna Bristol, England
Review Submitted: October 3, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We chose this villa for our honeymoon and it exceeded all our expectations. Situated in a remote village we found the surroundings to be peaceful with beautiful views and friendly local villagers. The location gave us the privacy we desired, but as we had hired a car there was a variety of attractions in easy reach. Varna was well worth a day trip and offers all the delights of the city alongside fascinating (and cheap!) historical attractions. The botanical gardens at nearby Balchik are definitely recommended and offer the chance for a relaxing day. Even with all this we spent most of the time lounging by the pool and eating BBQs in the summer kitchen. This villa has excellent facilities for a self-contained escape from it all and it is a short drive to the supermarket for supplies. We would also recommend Bulgaria in general for those who want a break in the sun without it being too hot! On top of all this the owner is reliable, excellent at communicating and was incredibly helpful in giving us a sense of the country and the local area. Everything he promised about the villa was true and surpassed.

Holiday July 2008

Kings Mother Birmingham England
Review Submitted: July 25, 2008 Date of Stay: July 2008
We were impressed with the high standard of the fittings and fixtures of this villa. The location was tranquil and relaxing and gave us the opportunity to meet with some of the local villagers, we had great fun trying to communicate. The villagers were extremely helpful and welcoming. There is a small "shop" in the village which stocks the basics e.g. water, bread toiletries etc.The fully equiped outdoor kitchen was used on several evenings and we relaxed and soaked up the sun on the comfortable loungers around the pool. The nearby resorts of Balchick and Albena are 15-30 minutes drive away and the roads to these resorts are very easy to negotiate. Both resorts have many varied restaraunts ,our favourite being Slaviansky Kat in Albena the location is set in a swamp , it offers excellent food, traditional music, and fire walking. In contrast we spent a very enjoyable afternoon exploring The Palace and Botanical Gardens in the resort of Balchick. We would have no hesitation in recomending this ideally situated Villa and look forward to returning next year
