The Côte Bleue, sea shore, is dedicated to tourism: beaches, creeks, calanques, small harbours, tourist activities.

In the area of the Côte Bleue in a reserve of the Conservatoire du Littoral (coastline conservatory) with 3303 hectares of walking trails,

you will discover the archetypal places of Provence: Camargue 30 minutes away, Aix-en-Provence 20 minutes away, Carry-le-Rouet 5 minutes away, and less than 1 hour away: Salon, Cassis, Bandol, the Alpilles, the Baux-de-Provence, Saint-Remy, the Verdon Gorge, less than 2 hours from Saint-Tropez, the French Riviera and Marseille, European capital of culture in 2013, is 20 minutes away.

The “Parc Marin de la Côte Bleue” (Marine Park of Cote Bleue) manages:

the protected marine area of Carry-le-Rouet,

the protected marine area of Cap-Couronne,

the whole artificial reefs in front of Niolon, Ensues-la-Redonne, Carry-le-Rouet, Sausset-les pins and La Couronne-Carro.

Since 1983, the “Parc Marin de la Côte Bleue” carried out several events and actions to inform and raise awareness in people.

The 'Sentier sous marin': every summer, during the months of July and August, FREE guided tours on the sea surface are organized in the Marine reserve of Carry-le-Rouet,

This activity is intended to help people to discover the richness of coastal seabed and to raise awareness in people who visit the Côte Bleue on the role and importance of a protected marine area.

The Côte Bleue contains many small diving spots, directly accessible from the shore, and often suitable to beginners. It is also the perfect diving spot for the biologist/diver: few bottom, varied landscapes with many rifts, holes, etc... where sea life abounds. And when the summer comes, and the Mediterranean Sea offers water with an almost tropical temperature, it is the time to submerge during 2 hours to and take a lot of pictures...
