Fantastic location and beautiful home

We could not have asked for more, the house & gardens are beautiful, the location was supurb, it was tranquil and peaceful in the rural countryside, yet a very good supermarket 5 mins drive down the road. The owners Michael & Agnes were there if you needed them and on hand to give advice if you wanted it and their children and two dogs were adorable.
You have everything you need in Beaumont le Roger and we visited some of the local markets in the nearby towns which are worth a visit - Honfleur is a must it is a lovely area with an abundance of restuarants, shops and bars around the port and also a lovely beach.
My little dog Marni was so happy and expressed this by being very vocal most of the time, but it was so nice to give him his freedom without worry, he paddled in the moat and lazed around in the garden and played with the children .
Thank you, thank you, thank you for making our stay special and we will certainly be recommending this property to our friends as a great romantic getaway.

Tranquility in the Countryside

We rented this lovely cottage for our honeymoon. It is the perfect spot for privacy. The owners are very helpful, they live on the property yet they don’t intrude on your space unless you need them.
The cottage is very cozy and has every amenity you will need to have an enjoyable stay. It is in impecable condition and looks exactly as pictured. We stayed for 7 days. We cooked meals almost everyday. There is a Carrefour grocery store nearby which is very convenient. There is also a very good Italian/Pizza restaurant down the street. The cottage is the perfect home away from home.
We loved the location! The cottage is within 1- 2 hours driving distance from most major sights in Normandy. We could drive easily to everything we wanted to see (Monet’s Garden, The American Cemetery, Rouen, La Havre, Honfleur etc…) then return to our cozy cottage in the countryside for peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist spots.
We highly recommend staying here. We would love to come back someday. We will always remember our honeymoon fondly and the lovely "gite" in Normandy.

A superb location with beautiful accommodation for everyone who seeks tranquility, privacy and freedom. The house is beautifully decorated and very complete. Every detail is thought through. The owners, Agnes and Michel, are very amiable and helpful hosts. The enclosed garden was a joy as we did not need to look after our dog all the time. She had plenty of space to play and lay around. As there are a lot of rabbits in the area and meadows around she had the time of her life!! For the day-to-day groceries you can obtain everything in Beaumont le Roger, a small village 2 - 3 km outside Beaumontel, you will also find here pubs and restaurants. The larger supermarkets are about 15 - 20 km away, e.g. in Le Neubourg. The interesting places as Honfleur and Deauville are approx. 1.15 hrs drive away. The WW 2 landing sites as Omaha beach are approx. 2 hrs drive away. We had a great holiday. We will definitely return next year!!!

Normandy self catering accomodation - Beaumentel

The self catering accommodation is what it says on the website. We were very pleased with what the accommodation offers. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom, lounge and kitchen are spacious and excellent for holiday accommodation for three people. The owners are very helpful and friendly and were prepared to attend to any request from us immediately. They speak good English and that helped us enormously, as none of us in the party of three speak French, to find restaurants and places to visit in the area. The area is quiet and there are opportunities for walks and cycling. Monet's garden is only about an hour's drive. There are supermarkets , pubs and restaurants, church, canal boating within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay there.
