Three holiday apartments for rent all year round, in the grounds of a historical Italian villa built in the 18th century, a few kilometres from Venice. Villa Pastori is situated in the commune of Mira, on the Brenta Riviera, midway between Venice (12.5 miles / 20 km) and Padua (14 miles / 22 km), both easily reached by car or public transport. The villa has a large well-equipped garden 3000sq m with abundant outdoor furniture, sun lounges, gazebo and barbecue. Car parking is inside the property. The three apartments are the result of a careful restructuring of the farm outbuildings attached to an 18th century villa, occupied on a part-time basis by the owners. During the renovation process we tried to keep the character of an ancient Venetian villa: the original roof, with its exposed wooden beams, and the terracotta floors were preserved. The apartments are tastefully furnished, including some antique furniture.

Guest Book: Ann and Alan (June '07) 'Try the ferry from Fusina to Venice - it takes you right into the thick of thing. The location couldn't be better for trips to Venice, Padua and Verona - all are reachable by short train journeys from Mira station. We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Pastori - the situation is very rural, bikes are provided if you want to cycle along the banks of the Brenta River. The bed was extremely comfortable, we were surrounded by beautiful antiques, the gardens are lovely with tables and sun loungers under the trees'- Denis

Barbara & Keith (July '07)Just a note to say how much we enjoyed our week at Villa Pastori. We found it extremely clean and very comfortable. Everyone was very friendly and we soon settled in. Please give our best wishes to everyone especially the elderly lady with the little dog Tito. We managed well in the shops even though we only knew a few words of Italian and worked out the bus times and where to get the tickets from.

Platano is a characteristic, light and airy apartment in which the original 18th century roof beams were preserved during the restoration. It has a floor in Tuscan terracotta. The apartment is on the first floor and is reached, from the portico, by a modern iron staircase. It is composed of a bedroom with a double bed with two bedside tables and a closet, a living/dining room with cooking area and a bathroom with shower, basin, bidet, covering a total area of 47sq m. The cooking area has a four ring gas hob, a microwave oven, a fridge/freezer and a dishwasher; all necessary kitchen equipment are present. The living room has a double sofabed , a four seater dining table and a television, as well as some pieces of antique furniture. Air conditioning for summer and independent heating for winter allow an all-year usage. Bedlinen, towels and bath linen are provided at no extra costs. There is also the use of a common washing machine.

Very tastefully restored buildings in the grounds of Villa Pastori, Mira. All modern facilities included; towels and bed linen changed weekly. Very clean and well maintained. The air conditioning is very welcome in the summer. The owners are the perfect hosts - during our visit they were always on hand, but without being intrusive.
Mira is a friendly little town, with shops and restaurants in easy walking distance from the Villa. It is ideally located for exploring north-east Italy and well connected by road and rail. Don't worry if you don't speak Italian - the locals are all very patient.

The air conditioning in the apartment, the park with so many trees to offer a shadow against the hot summer sun, dish-washer and washing machine, all contribute to give the hosts a calm chill out after the fatigue of a touristic tour around Venice and the other towns of the Veneto.

La villa Pastori esttrès bien située pour visiter Venise. La gare ferroviaire est à 5 minutes en voiture (4 € Aller-retour / pers).
Il y a un petit super marché à 10 minutes à pied.
L'appartement Platano, situé à l'étage est très bien équipé. Il y a une machine à laver commune au rez de chaussé. Le batiment est partagé en 3 appartements.
Nous sommes une famille de 5 personnes (2 adultes et 3 enfants). L'appartement à en fait deux chambres + un séjour-cuisine. Une première chambre en lien direct avec l'entrée (7 m2), en sous-pente, attention à la tête, et une seconde chambre
(12m2) qui se ferme. Le séjour à un canapé-lit gigogne.
Le parc est sympathique. Le terrain est fermé et sécurisé (murs et portail), un canal borde le terrain sur un coté.
Simonetta qui vit dans la Villa pastori est très gentille et très disponible si besoin. C'est très agréable.

Attention: Il faut prévoir un produit anti-moustiques pour le soir.

We spent a week in Villa Pastori in October 2009. We found the Villa well equipped, clean and pleasant. The service was very helpful and friendly but not imposing at all. The town Mira nearby is also very charming. The only downside is that the Mira/Mirano train station is a bit far to go by foot. We had rented a car, but Villa Pastori also provides bicycles for guests.

This well placed apartment in the small town of Mira is a good location to explore the area around Venice and the Veneto. For a family of 4 like us (two children aged 9 and 5) this was a good value place to stay with a good kitchen and two separate sleeping areas. There is a combination microwave but no oven. The apartment is modern from a conversion from one of the buildings in the grounds of an old villa. There is plenty of car parking space, bikes available to use, and only a short drive to the train station to catch the frequent service into Venice. We found that a car was essential.

The apartment also has good air conditioning and a washing machine so all you really need for a two week stay, and only about a 35 minute drive from Marco Polo airport.

There is no pool at this property but there are local facilities in nearby Dolo and Naola which kept our children happy.

This was our second stay (also stayed in 2008 for a week).

A bonus Alessandros the owner was "at my family home" on holiday Initially the 18th Century Old house looked depressing but Villa Tigliani what a lovely surprise! modern facilities superbly renovated real quality,plus safe parking in the grounds. The kitchen well equipped, bathroom and toilets all spotlessly clean , huge bed, a little dark inside the villa but to sit out peacefully in the garden in the evening was lovely. Location well placed for Venice we drove down to the Fusina Ferry (15mins) safe all day parking 8€ took the hourly Ferry to Venice 10€ each return, to the heart of the city in 30minutes brilliant. We viewed the other villas too and all were excellent.
Our 3 day stay was relaxing and superb Thanks Aless

Jo -(November '06) 'The apartment at Villa Pastori has been wonderfully and tastefully renovated with lots of space and lovely furniture. Having all the kitchen facilities as well made it a great choice for our stay with a teenager and a baby. Its in a lovely quiet spot but only a short walk to shops and an easy bus ride into Venice. We hope to be back soon! ' Sue (October '06) ' I need to thank you for providing the child's bike it meant such a difference to the holiday - we cycled everywhere and it was excellent. The property was so beautifully converted and furnished so tastefully - everything we needed was there. Mira is a lovely place to base yourself with plenty to do without driving too far. We took the boat from Fusina to Venice. We walked every morning to the local store to buy fresh bread and cheese and in the evenings we were able to walk to a local bar or restaurant.'

Wir haben im Juni 2012 eine Rundreise durch Italien gemacht , haben viele interessante Gegenden mit Tourismus pur kennengelernt. Die Villa begrüßte uns mit Ruhe und Gemütlichkeit. Die Wohnung ist freundlich eingerichtet, Sauberkeit machte den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm. Wir dürften die Geschichte der Villa kennen lernen und besichtigten sie auch. Bekamen vieles erzählt und der ganze Stolz sprühte uns positiv entgegen. Wir waren mit unseren Kids 14/16 unterwegs und wir es war einfach super, das Fahrräder vor Ort waren. So lernten wir die Gegend um Mira erstmal per Fahrrad kennen. Venedig führen wir zu Wasser an. Also es ist alles möglich. Jederzeit würde ich die Villa empfehlen und auch jederzeit wieder Urlaub machen dort. Vielen Dank! Familie Schilling

Schöne Wohnung in gute Lage für Ausflüge

Wir, 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder haben in der Wohnung schöne Ferientage erlebt. Die Wohnung ist vollständig eingerichtet, auch die Küchenausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Kombination von Antiquitäten und neuen Möbeln ist gelungen.
Schön ist, dass auch der große Garten mitbenutzt werden kann, dort sind ausreichend Stühle und Tische vorhanden. Auch Fahrräder standen (kostenlos) zur Verfügung.

Ideal ist die Wohnung für Ausflüge in die Städte der Umgebung. Venedig, Padua und Verorna sind bequem mit dem Zug zu erreichen. Fahrradfahren an der Brenta ist eine weitere Möglichkeit zur Freizeitgestaltung. Lediglich die Badestrände sind weiter weg.

Die Wohnung ist super für eine Familie mit Kindern. Da sie im Obergeschoss liegt sollte ein Kinderwagen nicht mehr benötigt werden.

Für Personen die Personen die Interesse an der Kultur und der Landschaft Venetiens haben ist die Wohnung sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir ( 54,54,21 u.19) haben eine wunderschöne Woche in einem der Appartments auf dem Anwesen von Alessandro Sisto in diesem Sommer verbracht ! Wir wurden sehr herzlich aufgenommen (von der netten Maria Grazia) und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Appartment lässt gar nichts zu wünschen übrig, auch wir haben in dem geschmackvoll eingerichteten Schlafzimmern vorzüglich geschlafen. In dem dazugehörigen Park mit Bilck auf die alte Villa schweift man gerne ab in vergangene Zeiten und kann Venedig revue passieren lassen.
Der nahegelegene Supermarkt erübrigt Grosseinkäufe und die ebenso nahegelegene Busstation erspart einem die teuren Parkhäuser in Venedig in Anspruch nehmen zu müssen. Besonders nett fanden wir, dass Alessandro Sisto sofort zur Stelle war, um unseren Sohn mit dick geschwollener Wange zum Arzt zu fahren, herzlichen Dank dafür. Wir wünschen Ihnen viele Gäste für die kommende Saison !

Idealer Platz, um Venedig und Umgebung zu erkunden

+ liebenswürdige und immer hilfsbereite Vermieter, die immer mit Rat und vor allem Tat zur Seite standen.
+ selbst ohne großartigen Italienischkenntnisse sehr gute Kommunikation (Englisch, Französisch und sogar etwas Deutsch)
+ saubere und gut ausgestattete Wohnung (ich habe im Urlaub selten so gut geschlafen!!)
+ sehr schönes Anwesen, das mit viel Aufwand erhalten wird.
+ Grill, Liegestühle, Fahrräder, Tischtennis stehen zur Verfügung
+ Venedig und andere Städte sind sowohl mit dem Auto oder (zu empfehlen) mit dem Zug sehr gut zu erreichen.
+ Restaurants, Supermarkt, interessante Villen sind fußläufig zu erreichen.
+ Badestrände mit öffentlichen Liegestühlen sind eigentlich überall zu finden (Empfehlung: Duna Verde)
+ wir werden wiederkommen, soll aber keine Drohung sein ;-)

Wir versuchten, den alten Geist zurückzugewinnen, die das alte Venetians drücken, um ihre Feiertage in den Umlagerungen von Venedig zu verbringen und errichteten Hunderte Landhäuser im Dreieck Venezia-Padua-Treviso.
