We are now from yesterday evening in our house in Vieille-Eglise en Yvelines.
Every thing works well from your house to our.
We would like, my brother, my sister-in law, my wife and I, to tell you how we were lucky to rent your house.
It was exactly the house what we expect to have.
The location in Zurriecq, the volume of the rooms, theirs design, and the fact that the bedrooms in the house are isolated each one from each others, It’s give to the house around the swimming poo,l a strong impression of lot of space.

We also enjoy your kindness, your affordability and availabilty, which really help us to have a better and a true understanding of every thing about Malta.

My wife and I stayed for just under a week at this beautiful property. We were greeted at the airport by Raymond, the owner, who took the trouble to wait whilst we got our hire car and then "led us" to his property.

The villa is spacious, very well equipped and charming; if anything, the photographs on this site do not do it justice.

It is in an excellent, quiet location close to the Blue Grotto but within a 10-15 minute drive of key places such as Valetta, Mdina and St Juliens for a night out.

Raymond gave us a very warm, friendly welcome, provided us tips and advice and left us alone for the rest of the stay which was just right. There are numerous reviews in his visitors book, all of which are very positive demonstrating this was not just a one off.

Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing break and we would strongly recommend this villa to anyone.

We could not have found a more perfect place to celebrate my husband's 75th birthday together with children and grandchildren. The beautifully renovated farmhouse was not only spacious but spread out in such a way that each couple had private space and the children could run freely without disturbing anyone. While the adults appreciated the local flavor of the tasteful furnishings and the well appointed kitchen, the children loved exploring the nooks and crannies, spiral staircase and secret patios, as well as the attractive pool. The warm hospitality of our host, Raymond, was replicated by all the local people we met. Zurrieq is a delightful way of getting to know Malta without the tourist trappings.

As you know we enjoyed Malta a lot and are planning to come back in the future. Probably with our kids. We think Malta is nice for all ages because it has everything from nature to culture, to history, to city to village, to old modern, touristic, authentic, sea, cliffs, beach….at last good food and drinks!! The house was very nice and we are sure the kids will enjoy it too. We loved the decorating of the house, the sunbeds at the swimmingpool, the little veranda, the garden, the nice cosy bathroom downstairs upgraded even more by the nice light watts, which is exept for the kitchen also nice in the rest of the house. Enough towels including floormats also by the bed, enough toiletpaper, dish(washer)soap (handwashsoap would be nice too) was provided, exelent, because you don’t want to think about these things on holidays! In Zurrieq we found a good take away restaurant at Triq Dun Guzepp Zammit, and supermarket (Maypole) and on the rest of the island we enjoyed the fresh fish and other nice food and wines (Malta produces good ones!) Your service of picking us up at the airport was very good too, because it spares a lot of seeking. We liked it very much that you left us in privacy. We would reccommend your house to all our friends.

This is like living in your own little castle, with outside shady courtyards and stone steps outside leading up to the bedrooms. It has to be said the pool is tiny, but the water is clean and warm (July) and the jacuzzi was a great feature. A shady outside living room beside the pool was great for both day and evening, and useful for keeping babies out of the sun.

The kitchen was well equipped, and the bathrooms had good showers. The two upstairs bedrooms had ensuites. The third bedroom was actually a very large ground floor living room, it would have been a long walk through the hall and kitchen to the bathroom at night if this was used.. There was a very narrow, winding stone staircase between this bedroom and the one above, which could have been a hazard for children, but you didn't have to use it, you could close it off from above.

Parking is not available immediately outside the property, but you can stop briefly in the very narrow one way street outside to unload cases or shopping, and then park at the bottom of the street. The Maltese seem very patient about waiting a minute while you do this!

Air con is available for two of the bedrooms at 10 euros per bedroom per night. You will definitely need this in the hotter months.

Raymond is a very helpful owner, anxious that you should have a great time, and a great source of information. There is a Lidl supermarket locally he will show you, but the best one we found was one of the GS chain in Naxxar.

Be aware that the Maltese like their fireworks, which they will set off whenever they feel like celebrating, and 8.00am is not at all unusual, they seem to go for noise rather than spectacle!.

I would recommend this house thoroughly, you will love it. Perhaps not with young toddlers you cannot rely on, because of the unfenced pool and staircases, but for everyone else, don't hesitate!

We are a familiy of five, the children are 14, 11 and 7 years old. Raymond picked us up at the Airport and guided us to our holiday home in a narrow alley in Zurrieq. We entered a marvellously restored 300year old limestone building with a most comfortable sitting room near the entrance, leading to two inner courtyards, both with wonderful palm trees and potted flowers. There is a swimming pool in the larger courtyard where our children had lots of fun diving and swimming. Downstairs there are another large, very comfortable living room and a well equipped kitchen. Staircases lead up the the upstairs bedrooms (both ensuite) and more flowered terrraces. We enjoyed coming back here after our trips very much, if feels almost like home. We even cancelled a planned day trip to be able to enjoy the house another day. The house is completely shielded from the outside world with its traffic and noise, but when you leave the door it is just a few steps to the centre of Zurrieq, and about 10 minutes to the Airport. All of us liked the house very much, and we appreciated Raymond's friendly and relaxed way very much.

Enjoyed the stay in this old listed building. We were 4 adults and 3 kids ( 4-8-11) and loved the house with the little courtyards , balconies and best hiding places.The owner decorated the house with lovely old furniture and love for detail. Despite the fact that there were a lot of ornaments it is very children friendly and just passed the test of 3 very active children.:-)
We are a family so did not mind that one bedroom is combined with the huge living room .Most of the time we sat in the long-hall anyway and if the weather was nice outside.The property is very well maintained, the owner provided a perfect customer service. We very much liked the fact of a free Wifi and the fact we could stay an extra day !There are 2 bicycles provided, shops around the corner within a 5 minute walk . Zurrieq is on the south of Malta, away from all the busy overcrowded tourist places , near the blue grotto and despite the fact it is close to the airport it was very quiet! We are looking forward to come again and I would fully recommend this place!
