Things to do and places to visit: There is so much to do in this area! History lovers should take a visit to St Peter’s Castle, Bodrum to view the underwater archaeology museum or arrange a trip to Ephesus, the largest & best preserved ancient city in Turkey.
A visit to Pammukale means that you can combine the hot thermal springs of this white, calcium terraced mountain with the adjacent ancient site of Hierpolis.
Another day out is a visit the mud baths & stunning beaches at Dalyan combined with seeing the Lycian rock tombs & the remains of Caunos, dating back to 400 century B.C. Daily boat trips to Kos, Greece means that you can visit 2 countries during 1 holiday.
Closer to home, make time to experience the different towns and villages on the Peninsula. Turgetreis is the 2nd largest town & has a huge market each Saturday.
Chill-out on the beach in the laid back bays of Bitez or Ortakent or visit Golturkbuku – known as the St Tropez of the Bodrum Peninsula.
For family fun visit the water park or bowling in Bodrum.
This is my holiday home which my husband and I purchased for our family holidays. We obviously love Turkey which is why we bought here and have been visiting this area for 6 years.
I also run a small holiday lettings business called Maison-Sol Holiday Rentals and currently rent out a total of 8 properties in Turkey and Spain.
I have previously worked in Turkey and also in sales and marketing in the travel industry for a packaged holiday company before setting up my own business. I have been renting out holiday properties now for 8 years.
We bought this villa as we totally fell in love with the beautiful sea views. It is fantastic to wake up in the morning and to look out of the lounge window and see blue sky and the sea.
It is lovely to have a drink on the balcony or roof terrace and admire the stunning blue sea. It is great to be located between both Yalikavak and Gumusluk to be able to enjoy both these lovely places.
Enjoy the beautiful sea views, 2 swimming pools and the large roof terrace at our holiday home. We have been coming here since our children were babies so we have provided a travel cot, highchair and baby listening units free of charge.
We have provided board games, a Playstation 2, lots of DVDs and books + FREE wi-fi internet so you can connect your technology to the wireless network which is great for kids gadgets or if you need to bring your laptop for work prurposes. The local supermarket is nearby as well as several restaurants, beach and the bus stop.
