'We loved staying in your flat. It is beautiful, the views from the windows and from the rooftop were breathtaking. I congratulate you on the way you have remade the whole house. You've done fantastic job! Honestly, the photos don't do it justice!
It was like home away from home. It was wonderful to come home at night.' K.S. ( and a family of 5 ), Mexico

Excellent choice for visiting London!

Review Submitted: July 9, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
This place was exactly as described. It was very clean and well maintained. We are a family of four from the United States, stayed here for two weeks. Had a great time, short walk to the train station. Great train service. House is close to shopping, kitchen is very useable, Washing machine with dryer was great. The three bathrooms were ideal! The owners were very helpful, suggested places to visit and shop. After a hectic day of touring London, it was great to come to the house and relax in a peaceful and quiet setting. We would recommend this house to everyone!

Lovely Coach House

London Trip Durham, NC USA
Review Submitted: June 17, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
My family stayed in the coach house for a week and found it an excellent place to stay. The house was very clean, comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen. The grocery store (Sainsbury's) was a short walk away - there was also a small Marks and Spencer that had a nice grocery section. The owners were very helpful and friendly. My children enjoyed playing in the backyard after long days of sightseeing. The train was very easy to get to (10 min. walk) and brought us to London Bridge, Charring Cross or Victoria stations. Also loved the fireplace on the chilly mornings - heated up the place quickly.

We would definitely stay here again when traveling to London. Highly recommend!!!

Visiting London

Newcomer to England Denver, Colorado
Review Submitted: June 11, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We recently rented the coach house property for our family of 4 adults, set of parents with 2 grown children and loved it. It was located near Greenwich, which we loved exploring and near enough to downtown London to fully appreciate the many attractions located in cenral London via train (which took approximately 25 minutes). I found the trains confusing but my husband and daughter navigated them quite well. Getting there via train from Heathrow was a little frustrating (but this may have been due to our lack of experience with the trains). The owners were very friendly and helpful. The coach house was clean and had a very new architectural design. It provided us with just enough room for our family to relax after a hard day of sight seeing. The 2 bedrooms were upstairs and the main living area was downstairs. I could go upstairs and rest while the family was downstairs and did not hear any noises, only birds chirping outside my window. You may find the stairs a difficult challenge if you have a disability. The rooms were filled with light, lots of windows. What we enjoyed most was that we could avoid the hectic life of a big city and enjoy London the way many residents do, via commuter train, and experience their lifestyle. Trains were a short walk from the coach house. The neighborhood was very nice, lots of beautiful homes on the street. Good restaurants were found in a town nearby called Blackheath. Our whole family enjoyed it. We stayed there a week and later rented a car and drove to Yorkshire. There we stayed in a very nice hotel but were bothered by the constant slamming of doors throughout the night. We missed the quiet, lovely coach house in Eltham.

We spent 5 days in the cottage during Christmas. All fantastic. Lana answered all our numerous questions fast and perfectly by mail before, and Alan welcame us 7 hours after our appointment (due a great delay of our flight) with a smile and a bottle of milk because all was closed! They are great hosts!!
The cottage is like one of an interior decoration magazine, all new and with all details and a very elegant taste. We stayed 6 persons with total comfort, only one of us must sleep in the sofa, and it was comfortable too.
One of the things we like the best was the comfortable heating these cold days, it´s fantastic arrive a warm home after a tiring day!! Was a pity that we couldn´t enjoy the big garden of the cottage because of the cold.
The railway station is about 10 minutes walking and the service is very good, except on Christmas: close very early these days and on Christmas day even London underground is closed! But the village was OK for a winter walk: there is a palace (closed on Christmas....) and nature. The neighbourhood is quiet and beautiful, with victorian houses as the cottage itself. It´s really takes you 20 minutes in train to arrive at London Bridge and the Travelcards for all day-all transports costs only 5,90 GB.

To sum up, a great apartment, great hosts and great stay! Thank you very much, Alan and Lana. Hope see you soon!

Super Holiday for friends & family Eltham & London

Review Submitted: December 24, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
We loved the Cottage and our Hosts - Lana and Alan were very gracious and kind. They provided infomation for in and around Eltham and London. The even made arranagments to have a cab pick us up at the airport! Outstanding human beings and outstanding customer service. The cottage was clean and warm. My Mom enjoyed the gas fireplace and old fashioned tub in the master bedroom. Eltham is a beautuful city with its own amenities. We did some exploring of this city and would recomend it to anyone who visits the London area. Public transportation was within walking distance and the most economical way to travel. A well appointed property, fine restaurants and excellent services. We will be back!
Happy Holidays,
Robert and family!

Excellent stay in London

We are a family of 5 (3 kids at the ages of 6-14), stayed at the property for 5 nights - And in short - it was a great stay.
The place is luxurious with plantey of room for all of us. Lana and Alan welcomed us warmly, helped with friendly advices and addressed any issue that we had promptly (there were not many).
There place is in a nice neighbourhood and located few minutes walk from two train stations. It is served by bus for evenings that we were too tired and lazy even for such short walk). There is also a large grocessery store near by so you can get your freshly baked bread in the morning.

To summarize, great place to stay for a family, convinient location - I would call them first next time I'm in London.

Cheers,
Jacky
