The East Village Apartments are in a historic 1850s New York brownstone, located in the hip East Village - a charming neighborhood in downtown Manhattan. Our New York holiday rental flats are walking distance to bustling restaurants, lively bars and great shopping.

Our Manhattan vacation rental apartments have been exquisitely renovated to blend the comforts of a modern home in a historic atmosphere. The Terrace Apartment sleeps 4 people, Apartment Sol sleeps 5 people, the Garden Duplex Apartment sleeps 8 people, and the Penthouse sleeps up to 7 people, accommodating a total of 24 people in one home.

Walk the quaint streets in Soho, NoLita, and the Lower East Side. Linger over lunch at Cafe Gitane or pick up a delicious panini at Cafe Inoteca. Visit the trendy boutiques and art galleries in the area. Savor the hopping bar and club scene and the famous nightlife of the East Village. All just a 10 minute walk from East Village Apartments

It's wery well situated, in a quite area but full of good restaurants and cafes, close to the subway and bustops to up-town and down-town. It is ideal to see NY like a new yorker. Staying in your lovely and well-designed apartment in the East Village made our trip to New York an extraordinary experience. We normally stay in hotels when we travel but renting your home allowed us many advantages we could never have in a hotel. Also, living in a residential neighbourhood, with easy access to Greenwich Village, SoHo and beyond, complete with all the needed services made us feel more like natives than tourists. And, of course, having a large bedroom, full bath, kitchen, washer/dryer and a full living room (complete with that wonderful flat-screen TV and sound system) allowed for a more relaxing visit to our favourite US city. Located on the third and fourth floors of East Village Apartments, the grand, duplex Penthouse Apartment combines luxury, comfort and space to provide up to eight guests in a unique apartment with superb views of downtown New York. The spacious 1500 square foot (140 square meters) apartment is equipped with all the modern conveniences. The open plan living room, dining room and kitchen on the top floor are splashed with sunlight from several skylights. This large lounge overlooks the beautiful terrace garden, with a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline. The beautifully renovated open chef's kitchen with breakfast bar is fully equipped with black granite countertops, maple cabinetry, nickel hardware and stainless steel appliances. The living room is furnished with a luxurious sofa that opens to a comfortable queen size bed. The three bedrooms are on the third floor, and can comfortably accommodate up to 8 guests.

Christmas in East Village

My wife and I, together with our daughter and son-in-law, had a wonderful two weeks at East Village Apartments, in the penthouse suite. We arrived late in the evening, to be greeted by the owner's representatiive who immediately made us welcome. The property was extremely well presented, warm and very secure. The location was very good with easy access to the subway, the Whole Foods Supermarket and many lovely restaurants, most of which were listed in the briefing folder left for guests, Peels (for brunch), Saxon & Parole, Beauty & Essex, Il Bucco to mention a few.
There is a facility for homeless nearby, and this was sometimes an issue, but nevertheless we would have no hesitation in recommending East Village Apartments.
Owner's Response: Thank you for your praise for our apartments and staff. The East Village derives its character from the varied ethnicities and types of residents. The Bowery has always been home to shelters for the less privileged. We pride ourselves that we can live happily with our neighbors and most of our foreign guests appreciate this diversity.

Amazing penthouse which made our trip

We stayed during the volcanic ash situation and were extremely grateful to Sudha for being able to extend our stay which made the experience a lot easier, thank you! The appartment is awesome and I want to come back, have recommended it to everyone and really it made our trip in NY. It is in a cool part of town with great places to eat, drink and shop near by, I loved the outside deck and huge light living area. Sudha very kindly let us stay on and we are planning on a return visit next year!

Love the location and the apartment

We had two families in this lovely penthouse - 4 adults and 3 teens - and it fit us wonderfully. One teen stayed on the sofabed in the living room, so we just "lived around her" if she was still sleeping when we arose. It's a great spot - easy walk to lots of things to do and subways in a nice residential area. Sudha is an extremely hospitable host and very willing to share tips and ideas to help you with your stay. Shoba the housekeeper met us upon arrival and was there to clean when we left - also very helpful. Because it rained the whole time we were there we couldn't take advantage of the large deck, but it looked like it would have been fabulous on a sunny day or warm night. The master bedroom with queen is quite large and nicely connected to a fabulous bath. The second bedroom is nice size and has a reasonable size bathroom to itself. The third bedroom is just big enough for a double bed with a little walking space. Great living area and kitchen. All in all, a fabulous spot that we highly recommend and would return to!
