The East Village Apartments are in a historic 1850s New York brownstone, located in the hip East Village - a charming neighborhood in downtown Manhattan. Our New York holiday rental flats are walking distance to bustling restaurants, lively bars and great shopping.

Our Manhattan vacation rental apartments have been exquisitely renovated to blend the comforts of a modern home in a historic atmosphere. The Terrace Apartment sleeps 4 people, Apartment Sol sleeps 5 people, the Garden Duplex Apartment sleeps 8 people, and the Penthouse sleeps up to 7 people, accommodating a total of 24 people in one home.

Walk the quaint streets in Soho, NoLita, and the Lower East Side. Linger over lunch at Cafe Gitane or pick up a delicious panini at Cafe Inoteca. Visit the trendy boutiques and art galleries in the area. Savor the hopping bar and club scene and the famous nightlife of the East Village. All just a 10 minute walk from East Village Apartments

Staying in your lovely and well-designed apartment in the East Village made our trip to New York an extraordinary experience. We normally stay in hotels when we travel but renting your home allowed us many advantages we could never have in a hotel. Also, living in a residential neighbourhood, with easy access to Greenwich Village, SoHo and beyond, complete with all the needed services made us feel more like natives than tourists. And, of course, having a large bedroom, full bath, kitchen, washer/dryer and a full living room (complete with that wonderful flat-screen TV and sound system) allowed for a more relaxing visit to our favourite US city. We joined NY in October 2010 and choosed Eastvillage Appartments. It was a very goog choice and we would recommend it to all our friends if asked. If we had questions we sent a mail to the owner and we received an answer quite fast. Good wifi broadbrand internet was available and a netbook as well. The rooms were very clean and the apartments are near to a subway station (2 AV).

Great space for 5/6 people. Clean and easy to get around town.
We were lucky enough to spend one night in the suite. We were glad the one night was on last day of our stay. It was very beautiful. wow.
Our only probem was that the electrical box smelled badly and concern us.
Thanks sudha for a beautiful place to stay.

Owner's Response: We followed up on the guest complaint about a rubbery smell from the bedroom, and finally located a faulty outlet, which we changed immediately. Maintenance problems do surface in our 1832 brownstone, but we try to act quickly to fix problems. Guest satisfaction is our priority.

Spacious clean appartment

Nice property, very clean and spacious. Also the communication with the owner
was very pleasant. The appartment is situated very centraly, close to the subway.
The supermarket (wholefoods) is only two blocks away, 5 minute walk.
The only one small disadvantage was the wooden floor, which made a lot of noice walking on the parts which were not covered with carpet.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing

Myself and 5 friends have just returned from a great trip in NY (12/4/10). I strongly recommend staying in East Village Apartments. Situated in an ideal location as Greenwich Village and Soho are only a few blocks away, which are full of nice restaurants / bars and are great for shopping. There's also a nice wee bar just opposite the apartment called "The Whiskey Bar". If you want to go in to central Manhattan, you can hop on the tube which is only round the corner from the apartments and the tube is only a few stops from central Manhattan.
The apartments themselves were spotless and have all the requirements of a self catering apartment. Very friendly / helpful staff!!!!
I would recommend this property to anyone and we will definately be back!!!!
The only problem with our stay was that it wasn't long enough!!!!!!

A weekend in Apartment Sol

The East Village is a wonderful location if you want to get away from the tourist spots and be where the real New Yorkers live. The area can be very lively and therefore noisy at night, so keep windows closed and AC on, but it is very well positioned for the subway and cabs and for generally getting around the city. There are lots of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance. We felt very safe. Perfect to soak up the atmosphere.
The apartment is fitted to a very high standard. We were two couples. The second bedroom is very small but adequate. Although the rest of the apartment is quite spacious. There is only one mirror, and that is in the bathroom, but again, only a minor problem.
For us it was the perfect alternative to an hotel. We loved the area and are happy to recommend it to other travellers who want to sample more than the usual tourist version of the city.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Warm welcome and great tips for our stay. Not far located from public transport, so easily to discover the whole of the Big Apple. Stayed with 6 people more then comfortably, and had a wonderfull time there. Well equipped and clean appartment.

We had a wunderfull time at app sol in July. The location in east village is perfect with all kinds of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Great supermarket 5 min walking distance.
App is clean, spacious all things you need is there.

Next time I'll be visiting NY I will stay at east village app.
Much better than staying in a hotel!
