A wonderful apartment which we recommend highly. Well designed, well equipped, light and airy, in a perfect location for transport and for exploring Paris on foot.Super rooftop views and quiet, despite being at the heart of the city. Communication with owner very quick and efficient.

Perfect Stay in the most amazing location!

First of all, the location of this apartment is perfection! we walked everywhere, there are two metro stations really close by, 5 minute walk. Even one of the main stations (Les Halles) is also close by.

Literally 100 feet away is the cutest little street with shops, restaurants and patisseries. There is one restaurant on the next block to the right of the apartment thats serves an amazing brunch, just beware that one order is enough to feed 4 people. Just a block away is Rue Fauburg St Honoré, which was my favorite spot for people watching and for shopping as well. The Louvre, and the Seine are 10 minutes away!

As far as the apartment is concerned, our welcome was really nice by Valerie, the custodian of the building. Just know you have to make an effort to communicate with her in french since she speaks NO english, but she was very nice and helpful and overall got us all settled in. The apartment is perfect for a couple. I would say for european standards, it is a very good size and very charming. At night, you can see the tip of the Eiffel Tower if the skies are clear.

One last thing I have to say is that Mr. Calmon was really generous to let us check out really late on our last day due to our train schedule. We are really greatful and will definitely reserve this apartment again for our next visit to the most amazing city in the world, Paris!

Perfectly Clean/Responsive Owner

This was our first trip to Paris and we were very tired when we arrived. The caretaker greeted us, he spoke no English and we spoke VERY limited French. He was kind and helpful but we used pantomine to bridge the communications gap.

The apartment was nice or nicer than presented online, and spotless. Everything, furnishings, floor-covering, paint and appliances seemed very new or in good condition. The windows open up on 2 sides of the apartment providing a nice breeze. Views are great from this old Hausmann building. You can see the front of Notre Dame and the top 1/2 of the Eiffel Tower. It is 2 blocks to the Louvre and convenient to many restaurants and the Louvre/Rivoli Metro Station.

I emailed the owner about a light bulb that had burned out. I was expecting the caretaker, but Philippe Calmon, the owner, showed up in person to fix it. I can tell he takes pride in this place.

I would highly recommend this apartment.

The apartment was exactly as described. Very clean and modern, great location for sight seeing, we walked to almost everything. Owner was very easy to communicate with and we would definitely stay there again without hesitation. Many restaurants and shops are nearby. We enjoyed the view of the very top of the Eiffel tower in the hallway especially at night with the lights! Thank you for a wonderful stay we hope to return again next year.

Paris Holiday

Our family of 4 with 2 teenage girls had a lovely stay at this apartment. Everything is just as advertised with a terrific location, clean and new facilities and great views of Paris from the windows. My only caution would be for tall guests as the top floor unit while providing great views does have sloping ceilings. Philippe was prompt in responding to all inquiries, and the site manager gave us a great overview of things the day we arrived. The apartment is a few blocks from the Louvre with wonderful cafes and restaurants very nearby. There is a supermarket just a couple of blocks away, so we were able to buy some essentials to stock the kitchen for breakfast and snacks. The Metro is also very close and was easy to use.

Just Perfect

I stayed here with my sister and cousin for about a week. We couldn't be happier with the apartment and could not be happier. The apartment itself is very clean, well appointed and incredibly well located. Easily accessible by RER (my preferred mode of transportation to and from the airport) and metro. Barely a block from the Louvre, the Left Bank is just across the bridge. The Marais is just a short walk away. But, enough about the location. Philippe (the owner) was very responsive over email and accomodating. I would happily go back to this apartment time and again - now if I could just get the days off work!

Thanks, Philippe!

My husband and I just returned from our first trip to Paris. I would like to reiterate what some of the other reviews have said. The apartment is very clean, full of natural light, well-appointed and has a great entrance. The location is perfect for exploring, as you are central to basically everything! Again, very clean and great location! The metro is only a few blocks away, which was especially nice for our arrival and departure. It was so easy to catch the RER train from the airport and arrive mere blocks from the apartment. I enjoyed that the den and bedroom were separate spaces. My husband tends to go to bed earlier than me, while I stay up and watch the news. One can watch TV without disturbing others. I further enjoyed having a kitchen. We found a great breakfast place just around the corner (Claus), and we would pick up breakfast to bring back to the apartment to eat as we planned out our day. I also liked that the apartment was not cluttered; it did feel like our own space when we were there. The apartment manager was very helpful in giving us the lay of the land, and the apartment owner was professional in all our correspondence. You will enjoy the views! Sometimes at night, I would just stare out the windows for long periods of time. From the kitchen and den, you can see the top of Notre Dame, historic buildings and beautiful roof lines. From the hallway, you can see the top of the Eiffel Tower and even watch it sparkle at night. I discovered that if you only pull the bedroom window shade down only halfway, you can stare up at the moon while you fall asleep. We took nighttime walks pass the Louvre and along the Seine and some of the bridges. I highly recommend this place, and I already miss our Paris walks! Thank you for a wonderful trip.

You Can't Go Wrong

You Can't Go Wrong

First, it should be noted that you experience a very elegant arrival: you walk through iron gates into a grand courtyard with an impressive fountain — it's like an attraction in and of itself! The very personable caretaker provides the keys and takes you for a quick orientation of the apartment. Every step closer to the apartment is more intriguing than the previous, creating more and more anticipation and suggesting that the apartment is going to be quite a sight. And it is. Upon entry, there is tons of light owing to the fact that there are windows on virtually every wall. Being on the top floor of the building adds an additional effect of feeling as if you're walking on the rooftops of Paris with views of the Bourse de Commerce across the street, Notre Dame in the distance and even Opera Garnier if you crane your neck slightly. While on the one hand the decor is quite simple, it is well renovated. And, because it's devoid of the owner's belongings, the place feels like it's yours. There are many sloped walls, as you would expect being on the top floor, but it very comfortably fits those of average height and stature. The rooms are well proportioned and it's a genuine one bedroom. Because the bedroom and the living room are on opposite sides of the apartment and because they both have doors, the apartment is excellent for three people to share, provided two are willing to sleep together of course. Also, it's a bonus to have a washer/dryer in the apartment. A great apartment in a great city in a great part of town. It was hard to leave. PS, the owner was a pleasure and very professional.
