What a trip!

Barely made flight out of DFW due to jackknifed Fedex truck. Prepared for extensive rental boat orientation Boat Harbour Marina, but was tossed the keys by Emerson and asked "you know where ya goin' mon? Sign here" (they'll rent a boat to anybody). Piloted the 24' Whaler toward White Sound, and spotted what we figured to be your dock with boat in lift. Found keys under seats of awaiting carts, but couldn't raise Wanda on the phone (not yet familiar enough with VHF). Boated to Sea Spray Marina to inquire, where Junior explained "All de phones be down mon, but I got 'er cell. Met Lucy at Sunrise Point to be let in and shown around (what a place)! Bags dropped, masks on, and lobster in hand, within 15 minutes (again, what a place)! Over the next week, boated to Pete's Pub in Little Harbour, snorkeled reef east of Sandy Cay, fished Tilloo Cut, and Matt Lowe's, Headed up to Nippers, and Grabbers (had to do some hammock time before return), and enjoyed the beautiful blue sky and water to their fullest. Awoke to pack for return Tues. morning, and it's stormin' like a "bygawd" (Texas term). Need to make 1:20pm departure to FLL. Listened to cruisers net, ask a few weather related questions of the locals (a lot more familiar with VHF now) and look for a window. Gettin' darker with lightning to south. It's now or never! Crossed to Marsh in a squall wearing our swim suits, with wind now out of NW, change of clothes in trash bags, and grins all around (well actually I may have been the only one grinning). Girls changed in a hedge next to Sea Horse rentals cause the office was closed for the season. Sandra on the radio says "just tie 'er up good, and put keys in the ice chest". Delayed in FLL for a couple of hours, home, showered, and eyes closed 2:30am Wed. morning. Back to work at 7:00am. Now THAT was one "hellova" trip my friend!
The place seems to be in great shape, genny kicked in when power went down, boat and dock looked good. Thanks so much for letting us use them. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need any references on the place, and if you ever get down this way, your welcome to come check out our little piece of paradise. I'll send a couple of pics after a little sleep.
Thanks Again,
Pooty

Owner's Response: Wow, you have captured the Bahama's experience perfectly and the reason people like you so love our home on the Ocean. Nothing like kicking back and having a great time! Ya'll come back and thanks again! Glen
