We are two 'older' folks who came to Amsterdam for art and the art museums. And we wanted to walk to them. This studio apartment was perfectly located for this. Additionally, we wished to cook most of our meals and were able to do so with ease. The flat was also located within walking distance of a large grocery store - Albertheim. The kitchen is compact, but stocked well enough with assorted pots, pans, and dishes. Our stay was for 10 days, so we had need of laundry and were able to use the washer and dryer. Our on-site guy, Ivan, was able to answer all our questions and set us off in the right direction for our needs. The property was clean and well-maintained. We needed two beds. There were 2 twin beds with brand new mattresses which were quite comfortable. The linens were a little on worn/mis-matched side of things, but still were adequate for our needs. The photos do accurately reflect the flat... which isn't large, but still had plenty of space for 2 people. The location can be a bit noisy on weekends due to there being a hostel just down the block and very near the busy area near the Liedesplein etc... so bring ear plugs! For us it was all part of the atmosphere of Amsterdam! We loved Amsterdam and if we return, would book this flat again.
Tourists without a Car,
Owner's Response: hello, this review applies to the studio vrbo 63027 which has double glass but if the window is not all closed it can be a little noisy in the night but only in summer on a warm evening when no one wants to go to sleep cause it is a rare occasion.. the b
Bedroom on the Ground floor is the most quiet you can imagine at the back of the house.
