The Waipi'o Valley is as beautiful a place as you will ever visit!
With unimaginably steep walls on the sides, waterfalls etching the perimeter, fields of taro and luscious mile long black sand beach
Waipi'o never fails to impress.
Walk to town and visit our gift shop or take a ATV Tour or a guided tour of the Valley.

This is truly an incredible,rare location. The views are spectacular and breathtaking.It is hard to stop taking photos and staring out the windows!
The house is even better than represented in the photos. High, beamed ceilings make it seem more spacious.It is well equipped in every way and nicely decorated.
The owner is very gracious and has a lovely welcome basket for you when you arrive. All the little necessities provided make it feel like home( umbrellas,headlamps,hair dryers, laundry facility, well equipped kitchen, lots of clean towels, and linens,new gas grill with tools,protected parking comfortable beds,two beautiful friendly horses to feed carrots to,etc.)
The owner is is very friendly, warm, generous and helpful.
The house is beautifully clean, tidy and welcoming and comfortable.
The nearby Waipio Valley is seen right out your window and is walking distance from the house.It is one of the major attractions on the Big Island and you will understand why.
The nearby charming town of Honokaa is only 10 minutes away and has a market, hardware store, restaurants, shops, galleries,and great fudge and ice cream.
If you are lucky enough to have some time in Cliff House, it will be an unforgettable experience.I would strong recommend this property to anyone! My only hesitation is that it may then be unavailble for me!

A Place that was hard to leave

We spent an utterly enchanting week at the Cliffhouse. We've visited the Big Island a half dozen times before over the years, and this was by far our best trip. Because we've seen a lot of the sights already, we had a hard time leaving this house. We never missed happy hour on the lanai. An amazing place to just chill out. My wife and I were both stressed out from work and my wife was in the midst of changing jobs and celebrating her 60th birthday. The house was perfect to decompress, reconnect and re-energize. We'll be back.

Awe inspiring views!

Incredibly comfortable and well stocked house....but it is the view that will keep this place in your heart for many years. We will always remember our time spent on the Cliffhouse lanai, equally perfect on a clear day or during a lightening storm...we have experienced both! Great location to start your Big Island explorations(and you must try the hike down to Waipio Valley if you are able!)....but you will always be looking forward to returning to at the end of the day! A true gem!

Fantastic experience

A not to be missed, wonderful private home to stay while you are visiting the Waipio Valley. Everything you need will be there and you will gaze over the ocean view within several feet of the home. It was one of our best places we stayed on the island. We enjoyed the friendly horses nearby to greet us and we enjoyed feeding them carrots. The owners have a very lovely art gallery near the home, have a sense of humor, and own a home with one of the most amazing views that will be unforgettable for you. If you love nature and privacy, make no mistake, stay there!
