We have spent many holidays in villa's in various countries but Villa Anatoli is the best ever! The villa is located on one of the most beautiful places on Lefkas Island. The villa gives children everything they want in a holiday, a stunning pool and suroundings, with a few minutes walk to the sea. This is the place to be! The interior of the house is of a high standard and has everything you need. The new placed terrace gives you plenty shade and with the professional BBQ a great place to have nice long diners.

For us it's the best ever!!!!

Luxus villa in Lefkas

We enjoyed our holidays in Lefkas very much in Villa Anatoli. We were looking for privacy in peaceful surroundings and the villa provided us exactly what we wanted! Also the timing was perfect as we spent our two weeks in Lefkas in May (close to our wedding date) because there were not too many tourists on the Island. We were lucky to spend one beautiful Sunday morning privately in one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe - Porto Katsiki beach located on the Western side of Lefkas.

The best thing to do, if you want to go around many beautiful places in Lefkas, is to rent a car like we did. The road leading to the villa is partly in a poor condition, but after driving up to the house, you can experience the beauty of the nature and spectacular view to the ocean every day.

I also must mention the kitchen because the cooking facilities were good in the house; my husband liked to make us Greek salad and very good dinner many times but of course it was also nice to visit many different tavernas around Lefkas.

Each morning we enjoyed our breakfast at the upper terrace looking at the beautiful view with butterflies flying around us. We found a good bakery about 2 km's away from the house close to Nidri, from where we bought our muffins and bread for breakfast - just the opposite to the bakery there was also a very friendly small shop with groceries, white wine and post cards.

The owner of the villa provided very good service in each phase of the booking and after the trip. As a whole, I can recommmend this villa to anyone who is looking for privacy and wants to experience Greece with more authencity than one might ever feel in a regular tourist hotel.

Lefkas is a beautiful island attached to the mainland and you will have so many places to see - waterfalls nearby (3km from the villa) the local winery and beaches like Egremni & Porto Katsiki were among the things we will never forget.

All information in the description and the photos of the website are a very careful represantation of the villa and its surroundings. The site and the villa are really beautiful with stunning views. The contact with the owner in the run-up to was very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of useful informations about the island, settings, restauarants, etc. inside the villa. The beaches and the little towns on Lefkas are very nice but we prefer the villa to relax and enjoy our time in an outstanding private and peaceful atmosphere.
We love it.

This is the 9th holiday villa I have rented (a reflection on my age, not my wealth). So I can list easily what I consider as essentials and desirables in a villa and its setting for my family to have a good holiday. I am sure that you too have your own lists and they will not necessarily be the same as mine. So I am not simply going to say this is the villa for you - though I happily recommend it to you. What I would say is, study the pictures and description of the villa carefully because they are a very accurate representation of the villa and its surroundings (at Sept 08) - if they offer what you are looking for, then this villa is for you - there are no carefully screened out unpleasant surprises.

What can I add to the pictures?

Well, they cannot do justice to the panorama of the view, which really is breathtaking.

If you look at a map of Lefkas you will see that the island has a coastal road around it. Let me assure you that you are totally unaware of the sight or sound of that road at the villa. The villa is in a very private, peaceful setting.

The villa is comfortably furnished and comprehensively equipped - you could live there comfortably full-time, you are certainly not camping there for a week. The housekeeping was very good and the pool maintenance efficient and discrete. There was absolutely no sign of any end of season tiredness. The excellent shutters/mosquito blinds/double glazing/aircon gives you limitless options of light/shade/ventilation/temperature etc.

I was apprehensive about renting a villa on the internet direct from an overseas owner but she could not have been better - friendly and helpful in responding to my questions, clear and precise about the necessary business arrangements. She also supplied an encyclopaedic list of best places to eat on the island.

Should you rent this villa? It's up to you. I would be happy to rent it again.

My top tip: If you are hot and tired and looking for lunch on the way to the villa from the airport on your first day, try "The Breath of Zorba" (google it), on the left just before the Hotel Alexandros (you'll probably have to turn round and come back to it). Its has little blue tables right on the shingle of the beach and the old white painted trees brushing your hair - a little breeze from the sea, a cold Myrthos, prawn saganaki, courgette rosties, balsamic mushrooms, grilled octopus, lamb in lemon........., and Manchester airport became another life.

we spent 2 weeks in villa anatoli, and we were really sad to leave.it is a nice place to stay:the house has fantastic view, large and nice smimming pool ,it is very peaceful ,well equiped.and not too far from Nidry,so it is easy to go shopping or go to the restaurants.
lefkada is a beautiful island ,with splendid beaches and fantastic turquoise sea.In august there are lot of people but you can find quiet beaches:we recommend Milos beach(you take a water taxi from agios nikitas). or if you like animation go to kathisma beach and take a drink or eat at the 2 club restaurant you can use smimming pool and listen good music.

This is a lovely, well kept property with magnificent views across the water to the mountains of western Greece. Morning sun, perfect for eating breakfast in front of the pool, and late afternoon shade, perfect for preprandial naps in the same place. We had a rainy day or two and found the house comfortable when it wasn't possible to live outside. Though experienced European and Greek travelers, we were booking from the USA, so we needed to be sure what we were getting into; the owner was very helpful and forthcoming. We were one adult couple joined by another couple for a night or two, but with one sleeping upstairs and one down, we had all the privacy we needed. As others have noted, the top of the driveway was challenging, but the sort of thing one expects in Greece.

There are beautiful beaches on the other (western) side of the island and a pleasant one on the south end at Vassilliki (it would be good for small children) with a taverna adjacent to the beach. The tavernas in Nidri itself did not impress us, and we hate to think what it's like in summer, but we found decent places to eat on the little peninsula eastward of the main road south of Nidri and one by the sea (name forgotten) a few kilometers north of the turnoff for Villa Anatoli.

A car is essential The beauty of the island lies in the variety of its scenery, which is often spectacular. Get off the main roads whenever it's possible to do so.

All in all, we had a very enjoyable experience.

We really did have a fantastic time. The setting and the view were stunning. The Villa was clean and felt very spacious it is finished to a high standard and the pool was excellant. . Voula who is the caretaker was superb, any queries she was always availabe
Lefkas is a fairly large island and has somthing for everyone lovely beaches and scenary. There are many villages each having there own particular attractions and character. I would say that you would need a car to make the most of your holiday.
It was a pleasure to deal with the owners and all ran very smoothly. We would definetly recommend Villa Anotoli

We spent in summer 2007 one week in Villa Anatoli with our family. The villa was everything that we expected and even more. Lefkada is a very nice island and especially the beaches on the west coast are great. The view from Villa Anatoli is breathtaking and location is very good.

A family from Finland with nice summer memories of Villa Anatoli and Lefkas
