This a very special place. What you find is great accomodation in a location that takes your breath away.
The small hamlet is quiet with stunning veiws of the mountains its almost like being in a Clint Eastwood western- but in a good way.
Tony and his wife are very friendly and helpul and run it very well, it live up to all the descriptions you get on their web site and goes well beyond.
The accomodation is of a good standard with all the amenities you need.
The hamlet has no shops but these are not far away.
By next year (2009) there will be a small bar open mainly for the use of the guests and if its like the rest of what Tony has done will complete the picture
If you are a biker then the roads will amaze you, if you are a walker its the same only slower.
The nearest town is Potes which can be ridden in about 15 mins or walked in 45. Its a superb place with a good supply of bars and restaurants along with winding streets and olde buildings plus shops. The region is fantastic for touring by any form; the roads are quiet and run through magnificant scenery.
Access is easy, its only 70 miles from Santander ferry which can be travelled mostly by motorway through pleasant countryside and is usually quite empty.
In summary it goes on my list of a place I would go back to without hesitation and thats exactly what we are going to do.
