Chalet recent independent next to the owner's house in the hills overlooking the village at 535m. With a panoramic view, access full foot, high tranquility in the heart of nature, quiet and rest assured.

Nice and bright interior with decorative paints from an artist,

South west balcony, terrace, garden, private green space, parking, local skis and bicycles,

Animal accepted surcharge of 15 euros for a week.

Start hiking, snowshoeing, alpine and Nordic major stations: 5, 17, 25 and 35km. Cycling Track, 7 km lake, parks Adventures 7km and 20km. Site paragliding (parapente): departure space flight to 20km, 3 flight schools at 2 and 20km.

Gite in Oderen - Highly recommended

This is a lovely place to stay. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from the owners with a cake and bottle of wine presented to us. They are happy to advise on places to go, walks to do etc and always on hand in case you need anything. The gite was as described online. All equipment was was in good working order and the gite nicely decorated and spotlessly clean with the grounds kept tidy. Location of the gite within Oderen is very good - situated a good distance back from the main road through Oderen so it is very peaceful there and you have easy access to walks up into the hills behind - you can walk straight from the gite without having to drive anywhere if you wish, as we did a couple of times - well worth the walk for fantastic views. It also feels nice and safe there - we were travelling by motorcycle which I don't usually like leaving parked outside at night, however I was perfectly happy to park the bike outside the gite on the private drive.
For food, there are a couple of large supermarkets maybe 8 to 10 minutes drive away. There is a bar in Oderen but it didn;t seem to be open whilst we were there. There is a cafe at the Tabac and a couple of restaurants in the next village a short drive away. The gite is well placed for trips out to such places as Ricquewirh which is worth a visit, the Stork sanctuary and also for other walking in the Alsace beyond the hikes available immediately from the gite. We had a really nice stay here and would definately recommend this gite to friends/relatives. If visiting this area again we would have no hesitation in staying here again ourselves.

Wander Urlaub in den Vogesen

Alles so prima wie im Inserat beschrieben. Sauberes und gepflegtes Haus.
Vermieter ist äußerst freundlich, hilfsbereit und spricht sehr gut Deutsch.
Anfahrtsbeschreibung war gut. Leider sind wir bei unserer Anreise in die Elsass Rally geraten und mußten einige Straßensperrungen (ohne ausgewisene Umleitungen) ziemlich abenteuelich umfahren. Aber der Vermieter hat uns dann per Handy-Anweisung doch noch glücklich ins Quartier geleitet.
Umgebung ist für Wanderer eine Offenbahrung!!!
Wir haben auf jeden Fall für nächstes Jahr schon gebucht.
SEHR ZU EMPFEHLEN!!!

Un grand moment de bien-être

Nous venons de passer deux semaines enneigées dans ce chalet situé dans un petit village sur les hauteurs d'Oderen à 535m d'altitude.
L'appartement(bien chauffé) est tout à fait confortable pour deux personnes adultes(accès internet, téléviseur récent, aménagement réalisé avec goût).
L'environnement immédiat en bordure de forêt est très reposant(chamois et chevreuil nous ont rendu visite...).Et les nuits y sont vraiment réparatrices...
Enfin, les propriétaires, bien qu'habitant le chalet voisin (avec entrée séparée et orientée différemment) savent conjuguer présence et discrétion.
A refaire...dès les beaux jours!

tres chouette accueil par les propriétaires malgré notre retard ,un bon koegelhof et un crémant d'alsace nous attendaient .........gîte chaleureux et très bien équipé ,convenant pour 2 personnes .
le temps ne fut pas de la partie( beaucoup de pluie ) mais nous avons trouvé le calme ,la tranquilité que nous recherchions !

Une situation idéale

Cette localisation est un bon compromis entre deux entités très différentes, la montagne vosgienne d'une part et l'Alsace traditionnelle d'autre part.
Le chalet très propre, bien entretenu et bien équipé, est parfait pour un couple. Ses propriétaires sont très accueillants et de bon conseil.
Nous recommanderions cette location sans hésitation à toutes personnes désirant découvrir divers aspects de la belle région alsacienne.

Nous avons été enchanté par notre séjour à Oderen, un gîte parfaitement équipé, rien n'y manque.Une météo digne des Vosges dans un environnement magnifique. Restaurants et activités diverses dans les environs immédiats.Commerces à proximité et cerise sur le gateau un excellent accueil par les propriétaires. Un gite pour deux à quatre personnes a gratifier de cinq étoiles +++

Idyllic chalet

A beautiful, quiet little chalet with fantastic view, located in a picturesque little village. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and our hosts were very kind and helpful and provided everything one could need. We spent an idyllic week wandering around in the hills and enjoying the fresh air. The climb up to the Markstein peak and many other walks are accessible directly from the chalet, leading through the charming forest full of wildlife and little waterfalls. There are a couple of lakes a short drive away, and other activities like paragliding (we didn't try that, though). It was the perfect situation for a relaxing holiday! Highly recommended.
