Fabulous apartment, fabulous area!

Review Submitted: November 16, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
My boyfriend and I stayed here in August and we had such a lovely time! The apartment is perfect with everything you could possibly need for a holiday stay. The doors all open out on to a balcony that stretches around the apartment, all through the day the sun hits a part of the balcony giving you the perfect chance to top up the tan or sit in the shade depending on your preference.
With the electric shutters all around you can also block out the morning sun for those hangover days that require an extra hour to sleep off!
All you could possible need close by, we ate breakfast on the balcony every morning that was bought fresh from the bakers just downstairs and to top it off a French accordion player would play traditional music for the occasion.
The area is just beautiful and the people very friendly and helpful.
A great location for exploring also, we got the train to Monaco and Cannes whilst there all very cheap and comfortable.
The owners of the apartment were so helpful and friendly; the welcome pack contains all possible ideas and very detailed explanations of the area and sights to see.
We would highly recommend this apartment and area and are most definitely going to return. Thanks guys for making it a perfect holiday!

Alan & Pat so enjoyed their week in Golf Juan

Review Submitted: November 15, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We went out of season expecting that a lot of places would be closed, a few were but there was still plenty of choice.

What we found was a delightful, clean appartment in the centre of a small town with plenty of life. It was really relaxing to sit on the balcony, apéritif in hand, watching the world go by.

The local shops were friendly and whilst I speak a little French Pat doesn't, but this posed no problem as everybody we dealt with were more than happy to speak English.

The port is lovely and Juan les Pins and Cap D-Antibes are within walking distance. If you want, you can come back on the train or bus - we took the train.

In season you can get a special cheap rail ticket offering unlimited trips. Out of season you are allowed to purchase a ticket for the furthest location and get off wherever you wish along the way, then re-join a later train. Try it - the views are fantastic and the fares surprisingly low, even more so if you are of a mature age! Whilst the station is very near, the trains are so quiet that they aren't noticeable.

If you take or rent a car, the free parking mentioned in the brochure is close enough to be convenient and overnight parking is free anyway.

This was an excellent holiday in every respect and we thoroughly recommend it. We will be going back.

This apartment is absolutely stunning!! Contemporary yet charming and welcoming. Large sunny balcony perfect for enjoying a few glasses of wine and fully fitted kitchenette perfect for making your own food if you've run out of energy to go out! A very comfortable bed and an excellent sofa bed makes this perfect for couples, two couples or a family. The position is ideal, a short bus ride from Nice, right in the centre of this beautiful town, where everything is within 5 minutes walk, friendly local bars, huge choice of fine restaurants and cosy bistros, the sandy beach, harbour, train station for short journeys to Cannes, Nice or Monaco the most amazing bakery, fromagerie, poissonerie etc etc the list goes on. We will be visiting as many times as we can and have recommended it to all our friends and family.

Great location!

Apartment not particularly well equipped if you are keen to self cater - but you don't really need to as there are so many restaurants nearby that you are spoiled for choice.

In the mornings the smell of croissants wafting up from the bakery below was wonderful, as were the croissants themselves!

We chose this apartment as we were keen to explore the local area but wanted a break from driving. We travelled from the UK by Eurostar and TGV and then flew back from Nice. As a previous reviewer mentions, the local bus (Cannes to Nice service which stops just up the road) will take you directly to the airport - we paid one euro each.
Local train service also very good, we went to Antibes, Cannes, Grasse, Monaco, Villefranche and Ventimillia (Italy), all really easy.

Weather was great too; always a bonus!

Lovely apartment

Very happy with the apartment and location. Golfe Juan is a smallish town on the coast but with all the necessary amenities locally. There are many local shops including boulangerie downstairs, and 3 supermarkets within 150m. The Marché U even has a British section if you really need a fix of Marmite or similar, and all the main British newspapers can be bought in the newsagents 50m up the road if you need news from home.
Golfe Juan is a little way from Nice Airport but the 200 bus goes direct for just €1. (I think very large luggage costs extra, but we weren't charged for luggage despite large-ish bags)
The train line runs along the cost from almost across the street, rapid services to all the key towns including Cannes, Antibes, Nice, Monaco, Menton and into Italy. You can also easily get into the mountains for the day by going to Grasse direct from Golfe Juan. Top tip - in the summer tourist season (to end Sept), one-day train passes, covering the whole Cote d'Azur coastal line and into the mountains, costs just €12 - and no extra for first class. This is less than just a 2nd class return to Monaco so well worth buying (though I wouldn't pay a premiuim for 1st class on normal fares - very difficult to tell the difference!)
The apartment itself was clean and well kept, the owners were very helpful, and the full deposit was returned very promptly.
Hope to be back soon.

The appartment was lovely, very clean and well equiped. We loved sitting on the balcony eating our breakfast which we bought from the bakery below the appartment. Golfe Juan has everything you need for a holiday, plenty of shops, nice little bars and restaurants. The beaches are lovely and only a few minutes walk from the appartment. We went to Cannes by train, which only took 10 mins or so, we also went to Antibes on Friday which is market day and spent a couple of hours walking round the market and the old town. We would go back to Golfe Juan again, in fact we will be back again next year. We would have no hesitation in recommending this appartment, its lovely.

Amazing, relaxing week in the Sth of France

Matt&Wend London
Review Submitted: September 5, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We were a young professional couple looking for a relaxing getaway in the South of France and the location and atmosphere surrounding this apartment made the trip. The Apartment is comfortable, containing all the facilities you want on holiday. It is easily accessible from Nice Airport with a seemingly door to door bus service. The bakery, supermarket, cheese delicatessen, chocolatier, fish monger and cafes are all at your door step. Beaches and the Harbor full or restaurants and large boats are a short stroll away. The small local train station is 75m away giving you easy, air-conditioned, access to the likes of Nice, Cannes, Monaco and St Tropez within 7 to 30 minutes. It allows you to escape the hustle, bustle and prices of the before mentioned cities while only being minutes from them. You wake to the smell of the bakery below and the sound of the old fella playing his accordion out the front, bless him – even if he does start around 8am. Lucky or not the weather was perfect all week. It may not be 5* but it was perfect for what we were after.

Thanks to Stuart who was a pleasure to deal with.

Ideal Location to Explore Cote d' Azur

Review Submitted: January 21, 2009 Date of Stay: December 2008
This apartment in Golf Juan is ideally located in a typical street which has bags of local atmosphere and is not touristy. A few minutes from the train station and beach/harbour with all the local shops you would need, including a good bakery on the ground floor.
The apartment itself is comfortable and clean with all rooms having access to the large balcony which surrounds the front and side of the apartment. Great place for eating or just relaxing.
Golf Juan is ideally located to explore the coastal area with places such as Monacco. Nice, Cannes and Frejus all within a short driving distance. Use the 'corniche routes' for spectacular views.
We found the owners very friendly and helpfull and would recommend the apartment to anyone.

Not to be too arrogant but i've travelled a lot and have experienced the good and bad and downright horrid in terms of vacations. This place was a breath of fresh air - perfect placement for being as laxy or as active as you want. Hidden on a quaint little French street, you are away from the hussle and bussle of Nice and Cannes but a 5 minute walk from the train station which can take you straight there if you want to! The golden sandy beach is a short stroll away and you can wake up to the smell of the bakery downstairs every morning. What more can a person need? My boyfriend and I loved it and had a fantastic time. Highly recommended.
