The Kitchen is fully fitted and equipped. It has electric hob and oven, washing machine, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, coffee maker, pots, pans, crockery and cutlery etc.

Supermarkets: There are 5 big supermarkets within 1 mile radius. Mercadona is the nearest, approx. 5 minutes walk from the property. Consum and Lidl are the next about 6 minutes walk. These three markets don't open on Sundays. El Arbor is about 10 minutes walk and Maxi Dia% is about 12-15 minutes walk. Both of them also open on Sundays upto 14:00 & 14:30 respectively.
I am a retired Subpostmaster. I was born in India where I qulified as a Civil Engineer. I worked in Iraq from 1958 to 1964 as a Civil Engineer and in UK as well from 1964 to 1981. We have lived in UK ever since.
We have 3 well qualified and happily married children. They all live within 25 miles radius of London.
I bought this apartment jointly with our daughter Dr P Gupta who was born in UK and qualified as a doctor from University College London. My wife and I live in Essex while our daughter lives in Surrey. She is married and have 2 children.
We bought our 1st Spanish apartment in Villamartin, Alicante in 2003 after my retirement from my business. But, it was a wrong choice of the area as the sea was not within the walking distance nor there was any bus service. Luckily we sold that property within 2 months of purchase and returned to UK.
We then returned to Spain again and bought this property. We fell in love with the area of Mar Menor or Minor Sea. The several kilometre long prominade is ideal for walks and the beach is excellent and children friendly.
We use this apartment several times a year. The 5 supermarkets, several restaurants and banks etc fulfill all our needs.
Our penthouse apartment has a patio that has sun all day along, a balcony to cool and a large roof terrace/solarium with sunbeds. We have a shower and a pull over shade on the roof terrace should it get too hot.
The 3 terraces (sunny patio, the cooling balcony and the roof solarium) plus the beautiful layout of the rooms and 2 WCs was enough to tempt us in buying this apartment.
But, ofcourse, there are also 2 shared community swimming pools within the secure gated complex. And, nearby there are golf courses for the enthusiast golfers.
The historic city of Cartagena is only 15 minutes drive away. But, when we are in mood to just relax we do not need to hire a car at all. Everything in within walking distance.
