With gorgeous panoramic ever changing views, the superbly appointed apartment is a real home from home. The attention to detail inside the accommodation makes for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We stayed for one week in April and found Villa Gelsomina a great base for exploring this region of Italy. There is as much or as little as you want to do. From sitting and having a simple meal on the terrace, dining at the one of the pizzerias and restaurants nearby, or driving up to Switzerland for the day. Highly recommended for a great holiday.

We were a little surprised at the exceptional level of detail in the instructions provided before we arrived. But they were truly invaluable and not only because we arrived on a dark night in late October, in the lashing rain of a thunderstorm, to find the electricity had tripped (we were able to quickly sort this out and get settled in) but because they also provided us with great tips on everything you could possibly need - from directions from the airport (Italian Direction Signage!!!) to some great local walks you'd otherwise never find - you won't need Google if you stay here. William came over to make sure all was well, he's a nice helpful guy.

We did all the suggested walks that are all fairly easy although you do need proper footwear. The one to the Three Little Mountains (Walk 3) was magical - there had been an unseasonable light dusting of snow on the local mountains and we were walking on a beautiful sunny day with clear blue skies giving us stunning views of Lake Maggiore and Mount Rosa. We've walked a lot and this walk really is worth doing. Also we'd suggest doing a little detour off walk 1 to Miami Beach up to Torre di Buccione. Carry on instead of turning right at point 15 and just past the first building/ weigh bridge is a sign to the Tower. Five minutes up the gravel path and you're there - you see this Tower from Panorama's balcony and it's good to see it up close.

Panorama is fitted out to a high standard with everything you'll need. Apart from the stainless steel cafeteria. We had one once. Throw it out William. Like ours it leaks when it pours.

We had a range of weather during our stay in late October/early November but luckily it only really rained at night. Snow covered Mount Rosa suddenly appeared outside our window above Lake Orta along with blue skies on our second day. The view from Panorama is outstanding. We managed to have lunch on the balcony on a couple of warm days. It must be wonderful on a summer evening with the sun going down. The trees and mountains surrounding Panorama looked lovely in their Autumnal colours - we want to come back in the Spring.

I can recommend William's suggestions re. shopping/eating locally. We had superb meals at the local Vecchio Circolo and at Ristorante Olina in San Giullo.
When we turned up at La Bottega in Vacciago just as Sig. Edoardo was locking up he kindly opened up again to serve us. All you need is here. Well named Panorama is a lovely apartment in authentic Italy.

It was lovely coming back to our secret hideaway after visiting the many local attractions and we'll definitely return.

My husband and I got married in August in Orta San Giulio and booked oursleves and our families into the Villa for the week we were in Italy. William the owner was so helpful and thorough with the information both before and during our stay and when we arrived,we were overwhelmed by the high standard of the accommodation,the lovely pool,and the amazing views. Waking up in Panorama and opening the bedroom shutter each day was just magical! The accommodation is superb with all the facilities you need. We were lucky that we had the hottest week of the Summer but it was rather warm at night however, there are fans in each apartment which helped. Overall we were very pleased and would highly recommend this accommodation. Plus, Orta is the most magical place on earth in our opinion!

It is safe to say that this is one of the best locations on Lake Orta!
You will be impressed kinds of views from the terrace of your room!
If you want peace and privacy, do not look for other offers, this is what you need!
Fans of travel and adventure, the best place to see the lake in northern Italy, Switzerland and the waterfalls of the most beautiful gardens and the island simply to find!
After long trips or hikes will please you very presence of large and small shops with very attractive prices for food. It is a haven for foodies!
The villa is situated in a secluded spot in the woods, where you will not be disturbed by cars or other sounds. Photos do not convey the entire atmosphere of this place, feel free and enjoy waking up and falling asleep looking at the endless sky at your feet! Friendly and attentive owner William to answer all your questions and make every effort to make your stay a memorable one. Thank you for the wonderful week in paradise!

We have just returned from a week's holiday at Villa Gelsomina. The location is just wonderful, with on a clear day views of eternal snow!
There are lots of things to do in the surroundings, and a day Milan is
by car is no problem thanks to the description provided. We will centainly
return again. Many thanks.

The view may well be the premier attraction,but drag yourself away from the balcony and there are lots of other things on offer.
The information provided on the website and by email was the most comprehensive we have met over many years of holiday planning.We were fortunate in that William--the owner-- was in residence and we were able to see the attention to every tiny detail which went into the presentation of the apartments.
The apartment is well equipped--enough kitchen equipment to enable keen cooks to take advantage of the local produce.Despite the proximity of the other apartments--there was plenty of privacy and our neighbours were very considerate. We added our books to the lounge collection-we had appreciated the ones left by others.
The area lends itself to long spells of reading on the balcony especially after indulging in one of the walks detailed by William. The literature gives much information on local restaurants.The Wooden Spoon is a treat not to be missed --25 euro-and you are served delicious course after course-we went on an Italian National holiday and it was packed with Italian families --three hours of gastronomic delights.
We would recommend this Villa without hesitation--we shall certainly return.
