And everyone's reaction is the same when they arrive, an overwhelming sense of beauty and peacefulness, truly old Hawaii. It is hard to describe, but once you are there you will understand, you will feel it.

Hale Kukuna was a project born from the love of this wonderful Hawaiian town by its owners and was built 100% by local Hana residents. Hale Kukuna is located overlooking Hana Bay as well as one of the last Royal fishponds in the area.

Hale Kukuna II is a luxury, two-bedroom, two-bath home with hardwood floors, full gourmet kitchen, two king-size beds, beautiful furnishings, and a view that is unsurpassed. Relax in the breeze on the lanai that spans the full length of the house after a nice Jacuzzi and listen to the birds sing and the ocean roll in.

Hale Kukuna I is a one-bedroom, one-bath home located below Hale Kukuna II with beautiful Italian tile and hardwood floors, full gourmet kitchen, and one king-size bed (perfect for one couple). Pamper yourself by taking a Jacuzzi in your private outdoor grotto overlooking the Royal fishpond and the ocean. You will notice works by local artists incorporated in the tile designs throughout the home.

Highly recommend this place in Hana!

We're in Hana now and are enjoying our stay a lot! The view is awesome and the place is spacious, clean, nicely furnished with comfortable beds, very nice kitchen with everything you need, and a great shower! We're half way through a week stay in the upstairs 2 bdrm and are loving every minute here. The location is perfect for us. Close to the state park, Hamoa Beach and the 7 Sacred Pools. We're glad it's not right in the middle of Hana Town but it's close enough to take a nice evening stroll into town. We'll definitely stay here again!

Decent place

Stayed here for one night as we drove around Maui. It is a nice enough unit (II), but not "luxury". Minor finish issues, coffee pot not working, some window shades not working, but the place was clean, comfortable, well furnished and in a good location. Note: the renters in the downstairs unit mentioned they were happy we did not have children with us as the people who just checked out of our unit had a child that ran back and forth and greatly disturbed their stay-there are numerous notes in the upper to walk softly, not move furniture. In short, if I were going back to this part of Maui I'd look elsewhere first, but would stay here again.

Lovely Home in Amazing Hana

We absolutely loved staying in Hana and the home was just minutes from the bay where we experienced our best snorkeling on the island. The beach nearby makes sounds of a rain stick when the ocean waves retreat back. The condo itself has a gorgeous view and a fabulous lanai. It is a large unit, the beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very nice. The kitchen is well equipped too. We forgot to look and see if it was air conditioned but there were many windows, nice ceiling fans and almost always a great breeze. We really enjoyed our stay and would return if we ever get back to Maui!
