Beautiful home in stunning location!
This is the fourth consecutive year we have stayed in this delightful home. Being retired, we are fortunate to now be able to spend 8 weeks pre-Christmas, i.e. October/November in 2013. From 2014 onwards we will also annually be returning for 6/8 weeks post Christmas in January/February. That in itself, is a testament to how much we love Kathryne and David's beautiful house.
Whenever we arrive the house is scrupulously clean and everything is pin neat. There is all, and more, that any family could possibly need for a holiday in this house. Plenty of crockery, bed linen, lovely towels etc.
Kathyrne carries out a rigorous rolling maintenance programme. This year when we arrived plush new carpets had been installed throughout, and a very swish set of patio doors with built in blinds. The house is very well cared for and looked after, and it shows. Should there ever be a problem we can't resolve ourselves, then Kathryne swiftly organises for the problem to be rectified by her charming handyman and gardener.
The airiness and open plan living really appeal to us. Although there are only two of us, we really appreciate having plenty of space. We also love the positioning of the house at the rear. The views are so pretty with the bird life constantly changing. A pair of Great Horned Owls this year took up residence for a few nights. That, and a blood red sunset with a nice glass of wine in the hand on the deck, is hard to beat for, and I quote Disney " Having a Magical Night".
There are plenty of eateries close by to suit everyone's taste and pockets. Our own favourites this time were The Bonefish Grill and Bahama Breeze. Likewise grocery shopping is only 5 minutes away at Winn Dixie, or Publix and Target are situated just 10 minutes drive away on the 192.
When it comes to ease of access to the Disney Theme Parks etc., then Oak Island is ideally situated. It is literally 10 minutes drive to Animal Kingdom and no distance to the other parks.
To summarize - we have stayed in many "high end" hotels, villas etc., all over the world and are discerning travellers. For us, going back to White Crane Court twice yearly, is like going home. There isn't anywhere else we would elect to spend 12/14 weeks each year, and that sort of says it all really. Thanks must go to Kathryne and David for all their hard work in maintaining a holiday home to such high standards.
Best wishes Kath and Peter
