We had a wonderful week at Casa Pina Solo. Nigel was fantastic and was forever willing to help in any way. We have already emailed all our friends in Australia and told them this is the best place in Southern Spain. We are currently staying in Valencia at another Villa. It costs twice as much as Casa Pina Solo and has no where near the service or charm.

Everything is perfect in Casa Pino Solo. Nigel and Lisa are wonderfull people; they make you feel comfortable at once. Contact via email and internet was perfect: when you have a question they answer at once. The house offers you everything you want: wonderful views, comfortable bed, perfect shower, swimming pool, jacuzzi etc. Nigel was there every morning, so if there was something you needed he looked after that. The house is perfectly located for nice trips into nature (Fuente de la Piedra, El Torcal) but also to visited Granada and Cordoba.

Three weeks in Jan and Feb at a wonderful place. This is the time to tour if one does not like extreme heat. The propriators, Lisa and Nigel, were so helpful and accessable to us in suggesting places to go and things to do in addition to our plans. The accomodations are great and everything worked. Sat TV in English, French, Spanish and German are available. The terrace in the Sun is great along with the views of the olive groves and the flowering almond trees -- beautiful! This place is convenient to all of the local places as well as the well known cities of Andalucia. Go, stay and viist!
Room Tip: The upstairs rooms/terrace have views in all 4 directions

If you're suspicious about advertisements for rental propeprties you can be sure that with Casa Pino Solo you will get exactly what Lisa and Nigel promise - and more besides. We are old folks who were looking for a place in the country where we could do a bit of touring and - basically - take a break from city tours of art galleries and museum. We wanted peace and quiet, comfort, accessibility to Cordoba and Granada. What we got was all those things and more besides. The upstairs apartment was spotless, well furnished and equipped; the views across olive groves were spectacular, and since there was the best of British TV we were even able to watch Corrie!, Our hosts were there to welcome us and checked in daily to answer our questions or address our needs, and the rest of the time they left us alone. It was so good that we decided to stay two extra nights -- we asked for four, but unfortunately, they were fully booked.

EXCELLENT LOCATION!! EXCELLENT PROPERTY!! EXCELLENT HOSTS!! My wife and I came to stay at Casa Pino Solo for 4 days. We ended up staying 8 days and were very sad to leave. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was fully equipped, spacious and comfortable. Our apartment was part of a large house which can be reserved in its entirety for a large group. * The location is excellent for day trips to the wonderful cities of Granada, Cordoba, Sevilla, Ronda and many other local Andalucian sites which aren’t on most travelers’ radar but are very unique places to see. Don’t miss the Cuevas de la Pileta if you take a trip to Ronda. * The property is wonderful. It has a great pool, a hot tub and is very well kept by the owners, Lisa and Nigel. There are great views of the miles and miles of olive groves and beautiful hills and it is quiet and peaceful. * The owners, Lisa and Nigel, were at the property nearly every day and could always be counted on to help with travel directions, suggestions for places to visit and many helpful hints about Southern Spain. They arranged for us to go on a guided walk nearby with a local man who they know--it was one of the highlights of our stay at Casa Pino Solo. We highly recommend Casa Pino Solo. You will be happy you chose to stay there.

We loved Casa Pino Solo and Iznajar!

When we travel with our family, we prefer to stay at family-owned homes, condos and apartments. We have enjoyed a richer, more authentic experience in all of the countries and towns we have visited staying in these family-owned dwellings. Hands down, Lisa and Nigel were the warmest and most attentive hosts we have ever had the opportunity to know. Casa Pino Solo combines in-house amenities (fireplace, duvets, well-equipped bathrooms) with all you might want on the exterior (beautiful vistas, high end hot tub, heated pool, comfortable gathering places) Were it not for Lisa's informative emails to my first inquiry, I doubt we would have found this jewel in Andalusia. The guide books direct everyone to the major cities. Lisa and Nigel helped us to see charming Iznajar, the wonderful Nuñez de Prado Olive Oil Factory in Baena, picture perfect Zuheros and Ronda, and countless area attractions. We drove to Granada to sightsee and ski, visited Gibraltar, and enjoyed scuba diving the Costa del Sol. We saw and did a great deal while keeping it relaxed on our vacation. Kudos to Lisa and Nigel for creating an amazing resort in Iznajar!

Wonderful holiday in idyllic surroundings

We spent six wonderful days at Casa Pino Solo and could not point to one single failing, a rare enough occurrence! Everything was done by Lisa and Nigel to ensure that our every need was catered for: right from the initial inquiry through to our departure they could not have been more friendly and helpful.We really appreciated their kindness in providing the welcome pack that awaited us when we arrived tired, hungry and hot.
We particularly loved sitting on the roof terrace or wallowing in the hot tub at night, star gazing and enjoying the sheer tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.
Waking in the morning to that magnificent view over the olive groves was sheer delight also.We consider ourselves very lucky to have found such beautiful accommodation and such thoughtful hosts and will certainly recommend them to our friends

When staying at Casa Pino Solo this year, I rented the main villa and roof terrace apartment. I LOVED having all that wonderful space and deeply appreciate Nigel & Lisa being so attentive to our needs. This is, without a doubt, the BEST place to stay when visiting or traveling through the Andalucian Region. No one would be disappointed and you may try to stay longer than planned.... you will be THAT comfortable and appreciated. Thank you Lisa and Nigel!! Love to you both, Karen

WOW! Having chanced upon this property on line...for a last minute break...we were delighted! We needed a place to relax, explore and be in easy reach of Cordoba/Granada for a bit of culture!
On arrival we were greeted by Nigel....who welcomed us and showed us around. Very clean and spacious with top of the range fridges, freezer, TV, toaster, washing machine and dishwasher..... We were in olive country with views of neat groves covering the surrounding hills. Plenty of bird life..and .hares in abundance!
On the first evening I flicked through the Visitor's Book and wondered why all the entries seemed to rave about the owners Nigel and Lisa, a couple from the Midlands, and barely mentioned the lovely local lake/reservoir, nearby villages ( you must have a car/motorbike) although there are bikes to borrow! I soon came to realise WHY Lisa and Nigel were so popular..they do EVERYTHING to make your stay all you wish for....including sharing recipes/walking tours/ dongles and videos!!!!
The heated pool and hot tub are immaculately clean and tended daily..and GORGEOUS!!!!
Our favourite treat was our wet room and excellent shower.
The weather was super and we enjoyed the company of other couples staying in other apartments. and have new friends from Canada ...(optional! as there are private areas for sitting out...) We had a look at
the other apartments when vacant.and they were all lovely.
It really did have everything we have at home....PLUS a pool, hot tub,
kitchen gadgets....and sharp knives!!!!! Oh and table tennis table...pool table... books...washing line...Local bar and restaurant with great paella!!!! It would be a great place for a group holiday/family etc Local roads are quiet and well surfaced.
We were well pleased and would definitely go again.

A week in Paradise

Our stay at Casa Pina Sole was as perfect as it could be. Our hosts Nigel and Lisa went out of their way to accommodate us, even welcoming us with a bottle of wine and some breakfast food since we would not have had time to go grocery shopping. The place itself is immaculate and beautifully maintained. It was such a pleasure to be out hiking or visiting during the day and then come home to a swim, a soak in the stunning top of the line hot tub, and then to dinner on the terrace. The surrounding hills are beautiful and the Isnajar reservoir is a shining jewel in the area. Words can hardly express my deep appreciation for the place that Nigel and Lisa have created; truly a top notch place at an affordable price. I would not only recommend Casa Pina Solo; I would love to come back. It rests in my memory as one of the best places of rest and relaxation I have ever experienced.
