Review Submitted: March 30, 2009 Date of Stay: February 2009
I stayed here with my wife and 2 children for 3 weeks.
The house is well located in Cancun in a pleasant street. this property is ideal for those who wish to distance themselves from the overbearing and touristy hotel zone. Not that I am saying the hotel zone is not a good place to visit: it is. However it is nice to be able to escape from hotel zone.
This house is located just a very short walk from shopping malls, restaurants, a 24hr convenience store and local transport.
I found Mattius to be helpfull and always available.
Overall a nice place to stay and well worth the cost.

Graham

Your home and service were outstanding!

Hello there, I think I can speak for our entire group when saying we definetly do miss Cancun. The house was great, just as we thought it would be. There wasn't anything to complain about. The stove and hot water problems were fixed as soon as you found out, the response time was terrific. Cancun itself was gorgeous; we enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back at some point/s in the future. The activities and attractions were endless; the weather was as expected; the people were great and the food, oh my. We decided not to go for the relatively cheaper restaurants and just go to the top of the line one's and boy was that a good decision. Like I said, everything was great. Your home and service were outstanding and the city was nothing short of fantastic. We would like to thank you and your wife once again for being so gracious. All the best to you and your family, thanks again.

We really enjoyed the house. Our experience there was great. The people were great except for the market, they got on our nerves. There was one guy at the one market who tried to selling something and he did not put a currency type at the end of the number, I assumed it was pesos, but when I payed he told me the price was in dollars. I ended up not buying from him because he was trying to rip us off. For example there was one thing he was trying to sell for $20USD when I bought the same thing for $20 (pesos) ~$2USD, big difference. The weather was great. The beaches we really did not use as much, but the ones you suggested were really nice and would recommend the beaches on Isla Mujeres. Would definitely recommend Isla Mujeres and it should be a day or more trip. The buses do not run 24/7 to De La Luna. The weather was great. I rained a little more than we expected but that did not stop us.

Would not recommend signing up for any tours, I feel they are a waste of money and time. For example we took a tour to Chichen Itza. It was great that the food and transportation was included, but they only gave us lunch which did not happen until 1700. Also we only had 30 minutes to walk around by ourselves and it is cheaper to pay an entrance at Chichen Itza and a tour guide there. I think it costs $8USD to get in and probably $20USD for a tour guide. If one does decide to take a tour they should bring snacks and plenty of liquids to keep hydrated. With the drinks I suggest freezing them over night and keeping them together throughout the day like this they remain cooled longer (the whole heat transfer factor). There are small shops on the way to Chichen Itza with memorabilia. It is cheaper and more authentic to buy there. If one buys these things at Chichen Itza it maybe fake. To get over to Isla Mujeres we recommend taking the ferry on Puerto Juarez, the one in the hotel zone, Playa de Tortugas, cost ($15USD per person round trip or $10USD per person one way) twice what it would cost 2 people at Pt. Juarez ($3.50USD per person one way). On Isla Mujeres you can rent a golf cart to go around in. I would avoid taking the first solicitor for the Golf Carts because you may find a better company.

If I have anything else to say I will not hesitate to write you about it. Once again Thank you.
Owner's Response: thanks for all the info and super that you enjoyed the house.
my future guests will appreciate tham a lot.

My husband and I stayed here and January, and it is all you can imagine. This Vacationhome puts you in the middle of everywhere you want to be in downtown Cancun. When you have had enough, you can be back inside the property, and in your own world away from all the action in minutes. You can easily take a bus to the Forum Mall and have a great time at Carlos and Charlies, an entertaining dinner at Rainforst Cafe or one of the best steaks in Cancun at Cambalache Big Steak House.
We spent a lot of time at the house just relaxing. I love going away to get away from it all at home, and this place allowed us to get a way and feel as comfortable as we did at home. The home was spotless and had everything we needed. I would stay here again in a minute. The pics do not do it justice!!!
a very personal touch was also that the owner and his wife of the home welcomed us upon arrival and gave us maps and info for our trip!
Owner's Response: Thank you for your positive comment.
was a pleasure meeting you as well...

In jeder Beziehung ideal euer Haus...

bracun Frankfurt
Review Submitted: November 9, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009

Viele Grüße an alle

Wochen in schoener ruhiger Umbegung gewohnt...

Sehr schönes Häuschen, in ruhiger, gediegener und idyllischer Umgebung und doch
sehr zentral gelegen.

Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus.
verliebt. Jederzeit wieder.

Einen lieben Gruss an euch in Cancun

aus Erfurt Silvia"
